Questions & Answers
Can the door and jamb be trimmed down about an inch at the bottom? Unfortunately, our opening is 81 inches and we cannot go higher. I understand this would void the warranty.
Hi Geni. The door jamb cannot be trimmed down, however the door itself can. You are able to trim 1/2" from the sides & top of the door, and 1" from the bottom.
Hi. Can the unfinished door be stained rather than painted? If so, is there a recommended type or brand of stain? Would I need to sand the door first or do any other prep? Ty!
This door is recommended to be stained. Any wood stain brand will work, the products we use are all minwax brand.
Can this be used to get to a deck? also, can I purchased a lockable handle for it?
This door is interior grade only. Handles are not sold with this product.
