How secure is the lock if the 're-key' access hole is on the outside? Wouldn't someone with the same re-key tool be able to use it to change lock/key combination?
In order to rekey the deadbolt with the rekey tool, you would need the existing working key.
What is the width and height of the escutcheon plate in the inside and outside?
The inside rectangle lever rosette cover dimensions are 4 1/8" total height and 2 25/32" total width. The exterior handle rosette cover dimension is 2 3/4" total width and 4 1/2" total height. The deadbolt rosette cover dimension is 2 3/4" total width and 4 1/4" total height.
