no it is not magnetic - it simple mounts to your wall with hardware already provided.
yes it is. but i don't think magnets will hold it due to the spacing and gauge of the wire. my rare earth magnets don't get a great grip on it. but they do attach to it.

It is 14"" to the holes. The front of the basket is 13". The back of the basket is 13 and 1/4".

I believe they're stainless steel, as they still look like new.
