Are screws also stainless?
Hello, Yes the screws are as well.
Are they paintable?
You could probably paint these with a spray lacquer, but if you wantt to paint it with trim enamel, I'd choose a wood wall plate. I have painted those successfully and they ave held the paint. The unfinished wood wall plates must be primed with an oil based sealer before painting with acrylic enamel. If a water based paint is used directly on the wood it will raise the grain and the finish will be rough to the touch - look look bad.
