I need to filter silt in a pond. There are conflicting answers as to whether this product allows water to pass thru it. The mfg says yet but others suggest weed fabric as it is more porous. I think weed fabric will deteriorate more quickly
You would want to use a non woven filter fabric (our NW35 product) Silt fence fabric will allow some sand to go thru the fabric.

Black Heavy Duty Dot Silt Fence Fabric: 1. Level and smooth out subgrade. 2. Clear site of sharp rocks, debris or objects that could penetrate the fabric. 3. Roll out the fabric and use sod staples every 2’-3’ to keep fabric in place. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future.
