We have not tested this part for that use.
No, this is not meant to be placed inside a hose.
This riser is not rated for use with drinking water, so we cannot recommend that you use it in such an application.
No, it is not. Over time chemicals in the plastic may be released into the water which are not safe.
close means it is the shortest it can be, there is nothing but the threads from each end with no unthreaded pipe in between or very little.
About 1 1/2". As short as it can be made. The threads almost touch one another.
Most of the nipple will be inside the threaded items, not extending the connection more than a small amount. The pipe and the sprinkler (or whatever) are "close" to each other.
The threads on each end almost touch each other. You can't make one any shorter.
I wish I still had this piece to measure the center non-threaded bit for you, it's got to be 1/4 " or less. I screwed one side into a sprinkler head and the other side into a PVC elbow, they might as well have been touching. This is basically a female to male converter, good for keeping things as close together as possible.
The length is 1.375 inches.
I don't have it in front of me but right at 1 1/2". The base of the threads almost touch each other. You can't make one any shorter.
Close means it is the shortest it can be, just the threads from each end with no unthreaded pipe in between, or very little. the two fittings you are connecting will be close upon each other.
bob, as we mentioned in a similar question you asked for this product, this riser is 1.375 inches long.
About 1 1/2"
bob, this riser is 1.375 inches in overall length.
When I initially submitted the question, It did not show that it was accepted here, so I repeated - Now it won't let me delete one. Thanks for the reply.
