Not an annual, it is a semi-dwarf perinial bush. The flowers are just now blooming in mid-April and the blooms are a grouping of tiny bells. I have paired it alongside my white deutzia which is larger and makes a lovely background for the pink.
No. It is a low growing perennial deciduous shrub. It is hardy to zone 5.
Yes, mine is still dormant but looks healthy
Hi Diana, thank you for asking. We are happy to help! No, our Yuki Cherry Blossom is a a shrub and will come back year after year in zones 5-8. I hope this helps! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at (734)654-7485 or helpdesk@provenwinnersdirect.com. Kind Regards, Allie
Hello, thank you for your inquiry! When planting shrubs in containers, we recommend choosing a pot that allows a few inches of room on all sides of the root ball. It is best for the shrub if you eventually plant it in the ground. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to us at (734)-654-7485 or helpdesk@provenwinnersdirect.com. Kind Regards, Allie
I don't think you could expect the best results if it were planted in full shade. Perhaps you could place it there experimentally for a year or two and observe the results. If disappointed, transplant to a sunny to party sunny location at that point.
Not sure. Mine gets the morning sun and is doing good.
Yes
It definitely prefers more sun. I wouldn't plant these in full shade, I'd want them to get 3 -4 hours of good sun a day, Mine get full sun from sunrise until just past noon and they're thriving.
No it needs direct sunlight and some shade is fine
Hello Kelli, Thank you for reaching out to us. Our Yuki Cherry Blossom is a deciduous shrub that sheds its leaves annually. I hope this helps! If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to us at 734-654-7485 or helpdesk@provenwinnersdirect.com. Best Regards, Tabatha
It loses its foliage in the fall. Further, it is not a terribly good selection for Colorado or the inter-mountain West; it grows far more successfully in the East. I have been successful in one instance, but the one success has struggled (the other clearly did not survive). It will take morning sun; it will not survive the intensity of afternoon or West facing exposure in my area.
Hi Kelli. Thank you for your question. The Yuki Cherry Blossom is a deciduous tree and will go dormant in the winter months, thus losing its leaves. https://www.homedepot.com/p/PROVEN-WINNERS-4-5-in-Qt-Yuki-Cherry-Blossom-Deutzia-Live-Shrub-Light-Pink-Flowers-DEUPRC1047800/205171497?keyword=PROVEN+WINNERS+1+Gal.+Yuki+Cherry+Blossom+%28Deutzia%29+Live+Shrub%2C+Light+Pink+Flowers&semanticToken=310502500122000_495280c25ae0f7026dde456a9bd7fd54_1591124912445+310502500122000+%3E++cnn%3A%7B14%3A1%7D+cnr%3A%7B7%3A1%7D+cnp%3A%7B10%3A0%7D+cnd%3A%7B4%3A0%7D+cne%3A%7B8%3A0%7D+cnb%3A%7B0%3A0%7D+cns%3A%7B5%3A0%7D+cnx%3A%7B3%3A0%7D+cnq%3A%7B0%3A0%7D+cnw%3A%7B0%3A0%7D+cnv%3A%7B0%3A0%7D+st%3A%7Bproven+winners+1+gal.+yuki+cherry+blossom+%28deutzia%29+live+shrub%2C+light+pink+flowers%7D%3Ast+oos%3A%7B0%3A1%7D+pt%3A%7Bflower%7D%3Apt+rt%3A%7Blive%7D%3Art+tgr%3A%7BNo+stage+info%7D+nr%3A%7Bproven+winners+1+gal.+yuki+cherry+blossom+%28deutzia%29+live+shrub%2C+light+pink+flower%7D%3Anr+nf%3A%7B1%7D%3Anf+qu%3A%7Bproven+winners+1+gal.+yuki+cherry+blossom+%28deutzia%29+live+shrub%2C+light+pink+flower%7D%3Aqu Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. I believe it is deciduous and not evergreen. Missouri botanical garden's web site says it is deciduous.
Just 1 foot tall
