Do I need to have Apple Home, Google Home, or Alexa in order to use this bulb, and to change the colors?
You are not required to use one of these services. The bulb is ultimately controlled through the Hue app. With the Hue app you are able to access the bulb to control it how you see fit. Hue bulbs are compatible with various smart home assistants which allow for further integration into you smart home.
Can this bulbs be used in a porch light fixture?
This bulb is not fully wet rated so it should not be used in any application where it will be directly exposed to water
Does this bulb work with the wireless switch?
This is compatible with accessories such as the Hue Dimmer Switch and Hue Tap
How long does a charge last
This bulb does not contain a battery - it needs to be installed in a socket on 120v A/C
Will this work with 5g
WiZ operates on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, on either B or G channels. 5GHz Wi-Fi is not supported. However, once your lights are paired, you can control them from anywhere through the Cloud. No particular need to stay connected on the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
