Can this product be sanded, if badly scratched?
Thank you for your question on the Shaw Belvoir Hickory engineered flooring. Due to the engineered construction of the flooring sanding is not possible. However, there are stain pens and putty that can be used to fill scratches and gouges. Your local store can assist you with matching the product.
I am trying to match flooring installed in a nearby part of my house years ago called Patriot Ridge Hickory in Barley color. After lots of research I determined this was manufactured by Shaw. The specs of this flooring look identical. Is it the same?

The Shaw Belvoir Hickory York hardwood is finished with a UV Aluminum Oxide coating. UV Aluminum Oxide / Aluminum Oxide is a water-based, UV cured urethane with microparticles of aluminum oxide.
