How pre-assembled is this? My kids and I want to do this as a fun activity. I'm not particularly handy but I do want a project a little more difficult/time-consuming than an IKEA-like assembly.

How long is each "end section" that would rest on the ground (the pillars and the tail part of the bridge that extends out)? Would this work for bridging two sections of pavers that are 3' apart with a rip rap "river" between?
We are have a heavy snow cover right now, but I will give you my best guess. The part on the ground beyond the rails on each side is about 4 to 5 inches and the over all length is about 3 - 4 foot. It is very sturdy my husband in 200 lbs. and walks across it. We bought it to walk over a water drain from the gutters on the house. We made it like a wash for the water run off. We are very pleased with the bridge.
