SPRING IT AND FLING IT This winter, experience the cutting-edge in snow clearing technology with the SNOW JOE SHOVELUTION, the ultimate strain-reducing snow shovel with spring-assist handle. Now you can shovel smarter, not harder to quickly and easily get snow out of your way. No more heavy lifting with a traditional shovel! No more aching back! The SJ-SHLV01 greatly reduces the effort, strain and potential injury involved in shoveling, using the powerful muscles of your upper body to do the lifting and throwing, and sending lifting leverage to the lower hand - to reduce back strain by up to 30%, so you can lift more, and throw farther. With SHOVELUTION ft. s patent-pending dual-handle spring-loaded system and durable 18" blade, you ft. re always ready for the next load. SHOVELUTION captures the expended energy from throwing the snow, and rapidly recoils to instantly reset the shovel. And, Snow Joe ft. s SHOVELUTION isn ft. t just for winter weather. Use it to easily lift loads of mulch around the garden come spring.

Got it online, fast delivery.
The shovel works well. It saves your back.
I would safely assume if they're inquiring about a snow shovel they live in regions with snow.
Your asking this in the wrong place. It seems HD sends these questions directly onto purchasers.
Yes. But I also review items I only purchase plus where I live as well.
I do take in consideration the region in which the purchasers live by stating my city and state for items that will be used outside, including plants.
No, because I don't know where they live.

Dear Linda, The difference between the aluminum and the polycarbonate blade is that the polycarbonate blade is made out of strong plastic. Hope this helps, if you have any other questions please let us know. Thanks Customer Service Team Snow Joe + Sun Joe
Aluminum is a lightweight, durable metal, used in many applications, from soda cans to aerospace components. Polycarbonate is an engineered plastic, sometimes known by its trade name Lexan, and is used for everything from greenhouses to bulletproof glass.
The polycarbonate seems to be very durable. Maybe weight?
I like the poly carbonate blade. Not a big difference that I can see. Mine Poly version is great.
The sound it makes when blade scrapes concrete, i personally prefer quiet, to screech, i have the aluminum, this is the best snow shovel i ever used, great product love it.
Dear Home Depot Customer, The difference between the two Shovelution 18 in. Strain-Reducing Snow Shovel with Spring-Assist Handle is just the color. Both shovels are identical. Hope this helps, if you have any other questions please let us know. Thanks Customer Service Team Snow Joe + Sun Joe
Beats me, the specs for the red one say it has a plastic scraper blade, the pic shows an aluminum one. I am very happy with My blue one, so save a couple of bucks and go for it!
I"m not sure. Looks like just the color. I have the blue one and it works well.
Dear Home Depot Customer, Yes, the Shovelution 18 in. Strain-Reducing Snow Shovel with Spring-Assist Handle shovel is comfortable and the handle long enough to use. Hope this helps, if you have any other questions please let us know. Thanks Customer Service Team Snow Joe + Sun Joe
Yes
This shovel is fine for someone no taller than 6 ft.
I am 5ft10 and the shovel feels great...For 6'1 I think it should be fine , but may be a little too short for your son
Your height should not matter it is the ease of using the shovel , you will appreciate, removing more snow with less energy, that will put a smile on your face.
6’1’ ok but I don’t know about 6’7’
My husband is 6’-2” and I am 5’-4” and is comfortable for both.
No. The Spring-Assist Handle is designed for a person about 5 foot 8 inches tall at the most. Since I am 5' foot 10", I have tied a cloth to the spring-assist handle to "lengthen the handle", which allows the shovel to work the way it was designed to work. Other than that, the shovel is a great item at a reasonable price. I especially like the shovel's metal edge and its 18 inch width.
no, there is no adjustable handle. it fits in my car trunk but eats up all space.
The top portion of the shovel handle comes off easily, the shovel will easily fit in a trunk. This is a great shovel for that reason, as well as having the flexible second handle which is better on the back, and the metal scraper blade wraps top and bottom around the shovel itself, which prevents ice and debris from causing a separation between the plastic and metal portions, so common with shovels.
It should fit into a trunk, The handle does separate in the center into two pieces.
Yes
The shovel doesn't adjust but it would easily fit in a car trunk as is.
No, this model does not have height adjustment.
The handle is not adjustable but it does come apart in the middle if needed. More importantly, it's terrific for relieving the strain on the lower back and transferring the load to the abs.
Yes you could unscrew the bolt I suppose to put it in a small trunk.
The handle does not adjust, but it will fit in a car trunk, what's funny I don't shove show with it, I use it to pickup piles of leaves in the fall. (I live in Texas)
You cannot change the length of either the rigid main handle nor the second handle. The second handle is on a flexible metal shaft so you can squeeze it against the main handle, but the length cannot be changed. I only got to use it after one 5" wet snow, but I was pretty pleased with the performance. It definitely does not take as much back effort to lift and throw each shovelful of snow.
I would say it’s the same arm and shoulder strength as a regular shovel, You don’t have to bend over so far.
From an arm/shoulder strength perspective, I'd say this shovel requires a little less strength than normal shovels, particularly for the arm/shoulder that's using the secondary handle. The position of the handle allows the second arm to travel less in order to bring a full shovel load up. The second handle really does help, but only because it's a second handle that allows the user to not bend down as much. The springiness in the handle itself doesn't do much for me, and I think it would be just as effective if it was a rigid attachment.
I had very little strain on shoulders and arms, no bending, my drive way is 70 feet long, double wide, i'm 73 years old and wasn't tired after shoveling a 5 inch wet snow, best shovel i ever owned thank you Home Depot for carrying a great product.
Dear Home Depot Customer, The second handle will help preventing the normal back pain you get with a regular snow shovel, you will be using the same strength on your arm and shoulder. Hope this helps, if you have any other questions please let us know. Thanks Customer Service Team Snow Joe + Sun Joe
It did not strain my arms either because they shared in the lifting task.
