Questions & Answers

Is this a type of knockout rose or is it a bigger rose like you would see in a bouquet?
ByAug 20, 2022
1 Answer |
Answer This Question

Knock Out roses and other shrub varieties have shorter flowering stems, making them more suitable for smaller bouquets and relaxed, informal arrangements. In mixed arrangements, the double Knock Outs can be inserted into flower groupings in ways that allow other flowers and stems to help support them.

What is a "Bareroot Plant"? (Sounds like a cutting I could borrow from any neighbor's garden!)

When I opened the box one plant’s leaves were half brown and the other maybe 25%. After I planted the plants it has taken about a month to start showing growth

    2 Out of 3
I ordered 3 of these, and like other reviewers, was surprised at how tiny the plants actually are as delivered. I immediately transplanted them into larger pots that had been prepared with well-draining potting soil. One of the three plants had some sort of strange plastic/cloth material interwoven with the roots, which turned out to be a harbinger of this plant's fate. The plants were very slow to develop, probably because they were going from a small 4" pot to a substantially larger pot (approximately 1 gal.) Now, 2 1/2 months later, 2 of the 3 plants are doing very well and generating beautiful flowers. Alas, despite my best efforts, the 3rd plant did not survive and I took it to Home Depot for a refund. Come Fall, I will plant them in a flower bed. These roses do take a long time to develop, and are beautiful when they do, but you may be better off with a bare root or at least 1 gallon type rose bush.

It was a 6 inch stick and some roots. We planted it with the others but it is drying up and not responding. We could return it but if they thought that one was good, they would send another just like it. We will order a replacement from another supplier.
