Filigree Hosta gets its name from the contrasting green veining in its foliage. The intriguing white leaves of this 1 of a kind shade lover gradually turn green in the weeks after opening. Lavender, funnel-shaped flowers sit atop scapes that grow up to 20 in. tall.

Can I plant these hostas in containers in Maryland
Thank you for your questions about the Filigree Hosta. This item can be grown in containers placed in a shady location. It is recommended for Grow Zones 3 - 9. The state of Arizona has Grow Zones 5-10, depending on your exact location. If located in Zone 10, it is likely too hot for the plant to thrive.
Filigree Hosta can be planted in fall or spring. They should be planted upon arrival.
It depends what zone you’re in. If you’re in zone seven like I am, you have to wait until after the last thread of frost. That would be mid April.
I don’t see why they wouldn’t. They do not require much sun so they should be able to be grown indoors.

Thank you for your feedback. We were sorry to hear the Filigree hosta did not meet your expectations. The intriguing white leaves that emerge in the spring transform into a blend of green and cream as the plant matures. The leaves are only white for a short time when they first emerge. Same here. Only one plant growing well and its all green no wihite
I live in the Florida panhandle, and planted mine in partial shade. It seem to thrive and I fertilized in the beginning. Watch out for those deer, chickens and rabbits though, because they love the hostas! I put a small fence around it, Which seem to help the smaller animals. Hostas are my absolute favorite!
Most Hosta varieties do best in zones 3-8. There are a few that will grow in zone 9, Filigree Hosta, Francee Hosta, Kingsize Hosta, Minke Giant Hosta, and Kiwi Spearmint Hosta are a few of them. You may want to reach out to your Local County Extension Office for more hostas that grow in your zone 9.
