Hi there! You can simply configure your unique garden bed layout, place rebar inside the posts into the ground, and finish with post caps.
are these vinyl as good as the cedar planters?
These planters have some benefits over cedar. Cedar boards are solid and fairly inexpensive however in a few years the wood will start to break down and will need to be repainted, restained or replaced. The boards of the Urbana are made of premium vinyl, coated to protect against UV damage and guaranteed to last for at least ten year. You will never have to paint them or stain them.
Can these be stacked?
At this time the Classic 4x4x11 is the only model we currently carry that can be stacked. Our Urbana and Mezza 4x4x11 garden bed cannot be stacked due to the smaller post size in those models.
is there a bottom?
This garden bed has no bottom. It is meant to be assembled and left on the ground. This garden bed is covered by our 10 year manufacturer's warranty and you will never have to paint it or stain it.
how many bags of soil are needed to fill this bed?
The Urbana garden bed is designed to hold 13.5 cubic feet of soil. Bags vary in size but that is how much you need to end up with. Also, this garden bed is covered by our 20 year manufacturer's warranty and you will never have to paint it or stain it.
Can two or more of these be stacked on top, to create a height of 22 or 33 inches?
Unfortunately, this model is not stackable due to the smaller post size in this collection.
