The VH200 is 1500 watts on high and 750 watts on low.
Why does the plug get warm after about an hour of run time and is this normal on these heaters I’m a little nervous about a electrical fire
It's not uncommon for plugs to get warm. The heater operates on 1500 watts, like a major appliance. We suggest always plugging it into a snug fitting outlet and having an electrician inspect and replace any loose outlets.
A little warmth is normal just make sure the cord is never covered by another insulator like a blanket or rug.
Does temp dropping cause fan to come on?
The air temperature dropping below the targeted temperature will trigger the heater to kick on.
it has a built in thermostat, just a dial not a temperature setting. It will turn off once it thinks its hot enough and back on again once cold enough. This feature did not work all that great for me, but my room was large and oddly shaped.
What kind of batteries does this heater use

How do you get the inside clean
The Vornado VH200 can be cleaned by unplugging the heater first. Then use the brush attachment on your household vacuum cleaner to vacuum any accumulated dust off the Front Outlet Grille, as well as the Air Inlets on the back and sides. Wipe down the entire heater with a soft dry cloth. Doing this regularly helps to keep the buildup at a manageable level.
