Does anyone have alignment issues with the bottom of the grill and the drip tray? The drip tray didn't catch anything and everything ended up on the bottom of the grill.

Is the Genesis II e310 really 29" deep?? None of the many generic grill covers I've looked at are that deep. 24" deep covers are quite common, but I've seen no generic covers (even ones that are 60+ inches long) that would fit a grill that is 29" deep.

      Answer This Question

Yes, the Genesis II E-310 is 29" deep. This measurement refers to the assembled depth of the grill. You may have difficulty finding a generic cover that fits, as many are designed for shallower grills. Consider a Weber brand cover designed specifically for the E-310 for a proper fit.

      Is it anti flare up
      ByMar 19, 2023
      1 Answer |
      Answer This Question

Hi, great question! Flare-ups on a Weber gas grill are less common because the angled Flavorizer Bars cover the burner tubes and direct grease into the catch-pan under the cooking box. However, here are a few tips to remember. Wipe your catch-pan: Make sure the grease catch-pan is wiped clean of accumulated fats and oils. Preheat your grill: Properly preheat your grill so excess debris is burned off the cooking grates and the Flavorizer Bars. Brush your grates: Brush any remaining debris off with a Weber stainless steel grill brush. Cut your meat: Trim the excess fat from your meat. Carefully apply oil: Make sure you don’t over-oil your food. Thanks for your interest in Weber!

No cover, ifyou want one must buy separately. I personally never use one, too much trouble taking on/ off.

Customers say the Weber Genesis II E-310 gas grill is a well-constructed and reliable product that heats up quickly and cooks food evenly, making it a favorite for grilling enthusiasts. Many appreciate the easy ignition system, large cooking area, and features like the propane tank gauge and grease management system. However, some users noted that the grill does not reach very high temperatures for searing and expressed a desire for an enclosed storage area to prevent animals from accessing the grease tray. Overall, customers are satisfied with their purchase and the quality associated with the Weber brand.

Wouldn’t buy any other product line! Dependable, even after years of use. Amazed by how good it looks after years of year round use and exposure to New England weather. None better than Weber!

Didn’t last long before it started to break
I have had this grill for 2 years, and the now the cook box is starting to warp and break. This grill ia only used for hamburgers and hotdogs do it minimally used. Due to the warping the heat shields are now falling through to the drip tray, the grill grates do not sit even on the front. I have/had 6 Weber grills and this one is the worst. Should have never upgraded from my 10+ year old Spirit.

Terrible barbeque for cold climates, a fire hazard
I bought this barbeque thinking it was a good brand. We tend to use are barbeque year round but this barbeque is not good for our Maritime climate. The drip tray is exposed as there is no back on the unit and is subject to filling up with water if the barbeque is not covered. There is only three burners which is inadequate for cold and windy days. The tapered collector for fat and drippings acts as a collector in cold weather building up a layer of fat and then it is possible for this to ignite and cause a fire hazard. Mine caught fire and was dripping burning fat out the bottom almost filling the drip tray and melting the retainer for the drip tray and also distorting the fire box. Very unsafe and you need to pay attention to the buildup below the lower grids.

Not thrilled with this. Downgraded from a Genesis 4 burner to 3 burner. Maxed out, propane at full blast and this barely heats up to 300.

Hello. We are sorry to hear about the issue you are experiencing. It sounds like you may be activating a safety device built into the regulator. This safety device is a component of all LP gas regulators and is designed to reduce the flow of gas in the event of a leak.
If you do activate the gas regulator safety device, the grill may struggle to reach high temperatures or may not light at all, even with all burners on the START/HIGH setting. To ensure that you are not inadvertently activating the safety device as you turn on the grill, please use the following procedure: https://www.weber.com/US/en/blog/burning-questions/why-wont-your-gas-grill-get-hot-its-probably-in-bypass-mode/weber-29816.html. The Weber quality stands out and this grill is no exception. The grill was easy to assemble and provides a even cooking surface and all but eliminates the flare up problems associated with other grills. Home Depot was great in the current environment with curbside pickup. My only issue is with Weber customer service. The grill shipped with 2 back propane tank panels and no front propane tank panel. I have tried to contact their customer service for a month with no response to provide me with the missing part. The grill functions fine but would like to have all of the pieces for the price point.

This new Weber replaced our previous 40 year old Weber. I had replaced grates and other parts over the years but it was time when I found the main burner rusted out this spring. I was concerned the new Webers might not be up to the old standards. It arrived LTL and the driver was helpful getting the heavy box into my garage. The box was in excellent condition. I read the instructions and downloaded the BILT app which gives step by step instructions. I would rate that Fair to Good as it takes a bit of practice to follow the instructions on a cell phone screen. The important thing is that you can scroll back and forth when you need to. Assembly went very well. All pieces easily fit together and all fasteners were included. I assembled the base stand with casters and the main cooking vessel in the garage before taking it up on my deck. Reasoning that it would be lighter to get up the stairs without the heavy cover and all the interior parts. That worked out well. Finished assembly on the deck and tried to start it up for the burn off but could not get it to ignite. After reading back through the Troubleshooting instructions, I found one note that said to check two wire behind the igniter button. Sure enough I found two unconnected leads. I do not recall the BILT app mentioning those leads but once connected, immediate success. My old Weber Genisis never got over 550 degrees. The new one hits 600 degrees. Fantastic for faster charring of steaks. Finally, I am very satisfied with this new model and I am pleased that I purchased a Weber replacement rather than some cheaper brand. It still is a sound investment especially when your consistently find people replacing their less expensive grills by the many cheaper brands in a short few years. Finally, a suggestion. I have found that after finishing a steak, I brush the grids, close the cover and let it burn clean for a few minutes. When you open the next time, no further need to clean or scrape. Try it, you will be forever pleased.

Great grill, burns evenly, it's easy to control the temperature, heck, you can even teach it to make the burgers from scratch for you! (Kidding). A great compliment to a Big Green Egg or other type of smoker! You will easily get 10 yrs out of it if you take care of it. Love me my Weber!

I guess this is more of a QC issue more than anything else. The grill works according to my expectations but one major concern was the wire loom and the exposed wires resting on the hot grill box. I had the push the wire loom up and zip tied it away from grill box or it would just a matter of time when those wire insulation and wire loom would start to melt from the extreme heat. The wires come from the battery pack below,, encased in a short wire loom (that exposes the top section of the wires) and distributed to the three igniters. I read a few comments here that these igniters have very short lifespan.

                              A disappointment
I want to start by saying I am a huge fan of Weber and their products. I have owned three kettles, a smokey mountain and a Spirit E-310 and loved them all. I bought a new Genesis E-410 to replace the Spirit and have been disappointed over all. The E-410 just doesn't seem to hold the temp or get as hot as the older grill. I believe it's because of the open design below the fire box which allows air flow or wind to effect the burners too much. While the build quality is still top notch the performance just isn't what it should be at this price point.

My first gas grill and so far am very impressed by the Weber Grill and Weber customer service. This model of the Genesis II E-310 (Model # 61010001) is $100 cheaper than the Model # 61011001, but appears to be exactly the same except for slightly lower BTU's (37,500 vs. 39,000). The change in BTU's does not appear to impact performance. Have grilled chicken and lamb on it. Grill heats up quickly and maintains temperature well. Boneless thighs turned out great, but lamb chops not quite so good. Will continue to experiment. As I noted, first time using a gas grill. I still use my Weber charcoal kettle for steaks. Purchased with assembly and delivery. HD delivered the grill with a broken plastic fitting on the right fixed table as well as a bent grease tray and bracket to hold grease tray (see photos). Didn't notice at delivery. Called Weber Customer Service and, after I sent in photos, Weber is shipping replacement parts. Weber Customer Service is great and very responsive.
