This laser level is designed for simple leveling tasks like hanging pictures or shelves. It projects a horizontal or vertical line up to 10 feet. For laying out a wood floor, you'll need a level that can project longer lines and potentially has additional features for squaring and alignment. A standard bubble level or a longer, more robust laser level designed for flooring applications would be more suitable.

Yes. Middle Port. The Side Ports project Horizontal lines.

    By|Apr 3, 2017

Yes, it is especially good for that.

      By|May 5, 2023

Yes, this projects a vertical line.

      By|May 4, 2023

Yes. You need to use the level in the center for a straight vertical line.

        By|May 4, 2023

The level can swivel to just about any angle or level you need.

          Yes

NO. Major reason is that it is an Indoor tool. The lazer beam only projects UP To 20 feet in Ideal Lighting Conditions. It is self leveling (+/- 5 degrees, Vertically). It also projects a Horizontal Beam out the sides, which is select able, L/R .

In the sunlight this could be hard to see. But yes, it can be used for fences. Just have to attach to a stick or fence post.

No. This level is meant for leveling walls.

                By|May 4, 2023

It has a light bean .... you could place it at the level you want and shine the bean on your bench .... that might help you level it. Also, HD is so good about returns .... purchase it, if it doesn't work out, return it. I love mine and used it to level pictures across an entire wall .... I also used it to correctly hem a long curtain panel .... it works in ways a bubble level cannot. Best of luck ....

No, this level does not have a suction cup.

                By|May 3, 2023

No unfortunately, the old model I had did but, it was discontinued. that's OK because the level was off if I checked the bubble level built into the device against the green auto leveling light. The auto leveling light turned green when the bubble level was at the left edge of the center indicator on the bubble vial. Not good for a level to be out of level. Made it kind of useless, unless I disregarded that function. To answer original question there is a back plate that you can mount to the wall and then attach the device to. I use command strips instead. Quick, clean and easy to remove with no damage to your walls.

It does not have a suction cup but you can hang it with a screw and the included part that comes with it.

No. It has a retractable pushpin.

Make sure the one you purchase has a "Hanging Cone" ..... the cone is attached to the wall then the level is attached to the cone. XXXX :o)

It has a small tack that you can use to stick it to walls. I didn't want small holes in the wall so I used 3m double sided tape and it stuck just fine. Too bad the level didn't work

Use a command strip so you can remove it with no damage to the walls. Leave one side of the hook and loop on the back of the unit and place a new one in location about where you want to hang the level up. When done just remove the device from the hook and loop tape and then remove the command strip from the wall and you're all done with a clean installation. I use the command strips to hang most items as well so when I wan to move them it's clean and easy with no damage when re-designing an area or moving. sorry that sounds like an ad for command strips but, I love them.

It has a small pushpin attached to the bracket the level rests on.
