This smoke detector (model 9120B) is designed to be interconnected with other compatible smoke alarms. It can be wired alongside the CO version (SC9120B) on the same circuit. When interconnected, if one alarm detects smoke or carbon monoxide, all interconnected alarms will sound. This feature enhances safety by providing early warning throughout your home.

I checked the instruction sheet. Of course if the Green LED is on and it is flashing Red once a minute this is Normal. If the Red LED flashes once a minute and the horn "Chirps" too this means you have a low or missing battery. You should probably call the help line at (800) 323-9005 if these ideas do not help. I hear they are very good.
