                        This is not a cross section of the part! A cross section it is to show the part has it was cut in halves (2). So you can see the thickness of the walls of the pipe and the different layers to make that pipe or fitting.

                          The pipe extruding machines produce a "+or-" 1 degree tolerance, it could be 44 degree, or 46 degree, however the pvc "plastic" has enough spring in it to be able to seal with the cement if cleaned and primed properly . Please contact your local Home Depot customer service attendant for more instructions. She is just 19 years old, but is an expert in plumbing.

                              180 (straight tube) minus 45 equals 135. It depends how you measure the angle. You could measure the "spread" (135), like an alligator's mouth opening, or the change in direction (45), like what it would be from the water's point of view. The fittings are specified by change in direction.
