Will it repel gophers. I know its for indoors. But I was wondering perhaps if I bury it under the mulch near the plant it might be effective.

Hello Sherry! Thank you for the great question. EarthKind's deterrent pouches are designed for use indoors and in enclosed spaces. Due to how the product works, enclosed spaces are conducive to maintaining, a concentrated scent. The product may still work outdoors, but will not last as long or be as effective in areas with a high rate of air exchange, so you will want to replace your pouches at least every 30 days. This will vary depending on weather conditions and how exposed the product will be to heat and air exchange, but many of our customers use our products to deter critters in spaces such as under decks, pump houses, and sheds.   If you decided to use the product outside, you may want to take a look at our Stay Away® Pouch Pod to protect the pouch from weather conditions.  If the product gets wet, its effectiveness may diminish, so the Pouch Pod will help to combat that. The Pouch Pod also helps to extends the life of the pouches by 3x and conceals pouches from curious kids and pets as well.   Please also feel free to refer to our comprehensive online Pest Library for DIY tips and expert advice to protect your home, pets and property from unwanted critters. Hello Denise! Thank you for your question. Our Stay Away Rodent was tested on mice and rats only. We can not claim that these will repel squirrels or woodpeckers from your trees. Should you try it, we highly recommend you use a pouch pod to protect the pouch from the elements(Rain & Wind).
