I am having major trouble trying to unroll this mat? What can you recommend to soften this mat to unroll it??

Good Morning, Thank you for the question! Our chairmats are made of vinyl and will need to be warmed up to begin to unroll and flatten. For best results place your chairmat in a warm room or in direct sunlight. This is the quickest way to flatten the mat. Another suggestion is to use a handheld hair dryer to warm the mat. Please follow all use and safety guidelines provided by the hair dryer manufacturer. I hope these suggestions are helpful! Have a great day!

I weigh about 215 lbs and sit on a chair with five rollers. My mat sits on a low shag carpet, so the wheels do dent the mat a little. However, I have no trouble rolling the chair on the mat.

It is rectangular.

It is rectangular and has a lip, which means it has a ramp all along the edge of the rectangle so that you can roll your chair on and off easily if you want to.
