For non-frost free sealcocks being protected from windchill, your faucet will be protected down to about -10 to -15 degrees wind chill .

At least 25F, but maybe not for prolonged periods. I'm in mid-North Carolina. It does get cold, but usually not for days at a time.

Not sure but temp got down to single digits and was ok.

I don't know what temperature but I put these on my faucets every year when the weather man says there will be a freeze in my area 32degrees and below. They are so easy to put on.

Either replace the leaky faucet seal or in a pinch, temporarily stop the leak by purchasing a cap with a rubber washer

Is the faucet outside? This is used to "protect" the faucet from cold. I imagine the "slow drip" will collect inside of the cover. At some point, after who knows how long, it will fill and spill out. And probably cause some sort of ice slick.

It will fill up the faucet cover and then start leaking thru it, thus making it ineffective as a deterrent against freezing.

I live where it doesn’t rain as much as Tennessee but it gets as cold if not colder and snows.  I use theses covers all around the house.  I’ve never had them get waterlogged or freeze.  In the past I’ve used the styrofoam ones but like these better as they are easier to store in the nice weather and are equally as effective.

The cover will repel rain and snow and ice pellets. Do not submerge in water though.

I have used for two years now, during our freezing ice/snow storm last February they work great. In short they seemed to be water repellant and did not become a block of ice. I have them on my outside faucets again this year. I know it gets a little colder in Tennessee but I am sure they should work for you.

Really depends on what part of the system you are trying to protect. These work very well when wind Chill is a major factor with Temperature.

This is designed to cover a faucet/hose bib so I don't see how it can effectively protect a sprinkler system or components thereof. A correctly installed sprinkler system will have drain valves that allow the water to drain out of the heads when not in use (not under pressure which forces the drain valve closed when the sprinkler is running) so freezing should not be a big issue. That all said I live in the southern US where the ground doesn't freeze so am not cognizant of how sprinklers are used or freeze proofed in areas that experience ground freezing. Nevertheless this is, as said above, designed for use on hose bibs. Even this is not appropriated for extremely cold locales which often use special hose bibs where the water is actually cut off within the heated area of the building.

No more than 6 ounces weight. I use them, very effective.

Light but insulated pretty well for price. I’ve purchased twice over years.it's Like a bag. We use it underneath a larger styrofoam cover. Might be overkill but think on it’s 3rd winter

It is a thermal type insulation and is approximately 3/8" thick.

I don't know the exact thickness but it is well insulated and hearty. Not a second rate product. I've used mine for 2 years now and no issues at all.

Faucet covers are made to protect faucets against wind chill if they are not frost free sill cocks. they are good on average to around 0 degrees for short periods of time.

My experience with the storm in Houston was that the temp got down to 18 degrees and my faucets were ok.

Not sure if this is official, but we had this sock cover during the horrible Texas storms a month ago and it kept it from freezing in -12 degree temperatures. Also kept it from getting any kind of moisture inside.

Not sure what they are rated to but we had -1 degrees FH in Dallas -Feb 2021 and they worked fine for us. No frozen pipes. I put them on faucets with Northern, Eastern and Western exposure.
