Great question, john. To set up a Nest thermostat on Google Home, you can do the following: 1. Open the Home app 2. Tap Devices > Add > Google Nest 3. Choose a home. 4. The app will search for devices that you can add. If it doesn't find your thermostat, select it from the list. 5. To continue with a QR code: Scan the QR code on the back of your Nest Thermostat display. 6. The Home app will walk you through installation. Hi SteveP. Yes! Nest thermostats are usually compatible with the standard electrical voltage supplied to a household circuit. Keep in mind that the Nest thermostat is designed to work with most 24V heating and cooling systems, such as furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, and heat pumps. It works with all common fuel types, including natural gas, oil, and electricity. We always recommend checking compatibility using the compatibility checker. Hi Stanley! The Nest Thermostat has many different features for controlling your home's temperature. One of these features is called "Hold Temperature." When you set your Nest Thermostat to hold the temperature, it will maintain that specific temperature for as long as you want. This is similar to a cycle per hour, but offers more precise control. This article has detailed information about how it works: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/10120172?hl=en-CA&sjid=16580028001890246378-NA
