We recommend that you only apply the static cling window film to the inside glass, as rainy weather or snow will cause the window film to come off much more easily if the window film is applied to the outside.

I want to make sure I understand your request correctly. This window film functions as a one-way privacy film where the brown side is the viewing side (installed facing inward), and the silver side creates the mirrored effect facing outward. This is how the privacy feature works during daytime. Are you looking for a film where the brown color would be visible from the outside instead of the silver mirror finish? What's your privacy need? Or are you referring to something else entirely? Could you please provide more details about your specific needs by emailing support@hidbea.com?

That's an interesting project question! While I'm not an expert in infinity mirror builds, I found a YouTube tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVStX2sKls0) that uses a film that looks just like our silver one-way window film. It is worth noting that our film is not designed for infinity mirror projects. For best results with your project, I'd recommend checking with different infinity mirror tutorials.

I would not recommend using this film to make a funhouse mirror. Our window film is not designed for this purpose for two main reasons. First, we do not recommend applying this film onto curved surfaces, which are often used in funhouse mirrors. Second, the mirror effect of our film only appears when properly applied to a window surface and is highly dependent on lighting conditions. It works best during daylight with strong natural light outside, and the effect varies based on the light differential between interior and exterior spaces. If interior lighting is brighter than outside lighting, the mirror effect significantly diminishes.

With proper installation, people can't tell that it's a film from the outside. Here are two photos from our customers that they took from outside of our one-way window film. Since these photos are from real customers' installations and haven't been edited or photoshoped, you can see the most authentic results(paste the url to web browser): [https://s2.loli.net/2025/05/08/8zscFaUJdCIvDx2.jpg],[https://s2.loli.net/2025/05/08/S1zhQdislvn7gKq.jpg]

Our window film can be applied on to acrylic windows as long as the acrylic window is smooth and flat.

Yes, the one-way privacy feature works on cloudy days since outdoor light is still brighter than indoor lighting. However, this feature won't work at night when your indoor lights are on, as this reverses the brightness difference.

Water is a must-have during installation. When applying the film, be sure to spray plenty of water onto the window and the window film side that you just peeled off the protective film. This will help create a lubricating layer for smoother application. Mixing a little bit of dish soap into the water creates a slightly better lubricating effect, but if you are running out of dish soap, only water works just fine.
