A:  Hello Joey If you only have packed dirt under the pavers.... you will need to remove them and pour a concrete footing....anchor the posts to the footing......the top of footing to be below your pavers several inches leaving some room for packing dirt then re-install your pavers around the posts. If you already have a concrete slab or footing under your pavers.... you can source some long Tapcon type anchors to go thru the pavers and have at least a 2 inch inmbedment into the concrete slab. A:  Hello LAZone Most likely, yes you will need a building permit.... Please confirm with your local building department. This Aluminum Patio covers is Class A fire rated. Unsure if that will meet the 1 hour fire rating you mentioned.. Did a building department tell you that you need a 1 hour fire rating?Thank you B

A:  Hello Steve, The posts on this kit are at the very end of the roof panels....basically at 12ft from the attachment point to house....there is no front roof overhang. You could order a 20 x 10 kit...? model # 1252006701020 or You could order the Optima patio cover Model # FPCOPT2012W20 which uses a front set back beam which gives you the flexibility to adjust the location of the support beam and posts and have a front roof overhang... A:  Hi Rick, No you should not. You should pour concrete footings at each post location to anchor the posts to. You could have the footings below the pavers and when posts are anchored...re-install the pavers over the footings. Thank you W
