Yes, but with any roof entry you have to seal it properly to prevent leaks, etc.

You will need a "Wall Cap" instead of the included Roof mount cap. If you have any other inquiries about our Master Flow products please call Technical Services at 800-211-9612.

Yes, that is exactly what I did with mine. Just make sure you do proper wall flashing above it into your siding material.

No it can not be used for a wall mount

No, I wouldn't use this product as a wall mount. The self closing duct door is not made for a wall application. There are specific wall units made for that application.

Yes! It will work fine as a wall vent

The trick is to let the ductwork stick through the roof about 1" and dog ear 3 or 4 spots to flatten over onto the roof. Then take rust proof screws or roofing nails to secure the dog ears to the roof. Then place the roof cap over the duct work, seal and secure. YOUR DONE...

If the duct work in this package does not fit you current roof vent, then you must purchase an adapter to properly fit. I also wrapped each joint with duct tape.

I did not buy this kit , but have used similar parts in the past .You have to remove the microwave oven from its installation cabinet. Then remove the fan itself and turn it so the exhaust faces upward as per manufactures instructions , reinstall the microwave with the adaptor connected facing up and continue with your installation to the outside. Not an easy job for nonprofessional without required tools , saws etc.

No. This is for outside vented hoods only You need a range hood that is designed to vent outside.

                        By|Jan 4, 2020

If your hood has both options to recirculate or discharge outside you have to get a 4" x 10"side wall discharge. This kit will not work for a side wall discharge.

It is easy to assemble all you need is duct tape and for the roof cap some nails.

It's shown in this video from This Old House: http://www.thisoldhouse.com/toh/video/0,,20783011,00.html (Lowes website didn't link the URL but it work) Tom Silva cut tabs in the end of the sheet metal and nailed two into the roof. A duct adapter plate would provide a cleaner seal of the store has 7" in stock (depending on the size you are using). Trace a lid or bowl for a cutting line then use a jig saw on medium speed. Be sure to use plenty of caulking just like he does in the video. A google search of "DIY appliance roof vent installation" also provides other examples. Good luck and don't worry it will work.
