    Yes, as long as the water pressure does not exceed 120PSI and it is used with cold water.

      Yes, the maximum PSI for this valve is 80 PSI. If static water pressure exceeds 80 PSI, a pressure regulator should be used.

        It has to be installed above ground to access sprinkler valve or installed automatic sprinkler unit.

          Looking at the photo of the valve, the input is on the higher side where the control is located.  The lower flat side is the output.  You can unscrew the manual control and replace it with an automatic sprinkler valve attached to a timer.

              Yes. I installed a brass valve to replace a plastic one thinking I was upgrading. Two weeks after install the brass one failed on the output side. It sprayed water everywhere. I then installed a plastic one and it too failed, but on the input side.

                Mine haven’t leaked yet, the inlet/outlet placement is much narrower than standard so buy a couple fittings for adjustment.
