              Yes, this box can be used in a retro-fit model. Either you can replace the existing box with a SharkBite box and drywall around the opening. Or take the valves out of the SharkBite box by twisting the SharkBite connections off and then removing the valve from the box and adding to your existing box.

                    Yes this Washing Machine Box can be installed for Center Drains (upside down), you can unscrew the valves and move them to the opposite end for a Center Drain (Upside down) installation. The box also works with left or right drain configurations so it is a universal box for 3 types of drain configurations.
