    • 180 degree pivoting head allows efficient snow removal
    • Adjustable handle extends from 35 in. to 52 in. for optimum use

The snow sweeper is designed for vehicles and has a maximum handle length of 52 inches. A 10x12 foot gazebo roof would likely be too high and wide to effectively clear snow with this tool. Additionally, using it on a gazebo could damage the plastic panels. A roof rake designed for gazebo use would be a more suitable option.

I guess if the hot tub is not that big it’s able to do the job. It probably works on a hot tub cover without damaging it, plus the length of it helps do the job. I’m sorry but I can’t further help you with your question, I never had a hot tub.

It should work great due to the long adjustable handle and silicon squeegee scraper.

I bought this just before a snow storm and loved that It would let me get to the top of the suv where you normally can't reach, I actually used it for my whole vehicle .. it worked better than the typical brush.

Take it back to HD's customer service department. They will evaluate the issue. Bring your receipt if you still have it. If you had purchased with a Home Depot charge card, they will be able to look up your purchase. I've had my sweeper for a couple years now, and have never had a problem with it.

Depends on how long ago you bought it. A receipt is helpful in matters like this. So if it was purchased this winter season and you have a receipt, take it back to the store where you purchased it with the receipt and you should be able to get a replacement. Just keep in mind, like most products, this has a limited warranty.

You push the button in the middle to extend the arm and if need be you can use the top push button to make it swivel.

My snow sweeper is now a couple years old. Its default position seems to be as you pictured. Other than extending its handle, I never knew it could go to a different position. Try taking it back to the store to have customer service take a look at it. Your unit may be defective. This is by far the best snow sweeper I've ever had.

                By|Jan 14, 2024

The blade should simply lock into the open position when you push the button. You should hear a click and the blade locks into position. I would say yours may be defective if the blade doesn't click into position and stay put.

You didn't specify which part you're having trouble with. So the telescoping portion works by pushing the tab while pulling or pushing the extension into or out of the handle. To lock the extension (which has holes) must line up to the push tab at the appropriate length. The scraper portion only has 3 positions, left right or straight. To change it's position, push the large button on the side while applying slight pressure to either side of the scraper. When the scraper reaches the proper angle, it will lock itself in that position.

The red locking button where it swivels out is designed to hold it in place.

If you are referring to your home I would not suggest this for use as a roof rake. The handle is not long enough nor is the blade wide enough.

Candi - yes, I have used this as a roof rake and it works well. We have an 8 foot ladder step ladder that I put near the edge of the house roof and then use this Suncast Snow Sweeper to pull the snow off the edges of the roof.

I would not suggest it for that use. It only extends 52" and the shingle grit might either damage the wiper blade or pick up the grit and scratch your car.

It extends pretty far to clean off cars or trucks, but I'm not sure it would extend far enough to satisfy you when cleaning off a roof. If you're talking about the roof of you car, then yes, this is a perfect item for you. I have a Silverado truck and it works extremely well.

No. There is nothing about this to make it a good roof rake. Could even be dangerous. Each year many people are injured from using various unproven tools as roof rakes. You are always better off to purchase a tool specifically for this job as it keeps the user out of the line of fire greatly reducing the chance of injury.

I wouldn't attempt using it as a roof rake because I think roof shingles might cause nicks in the rubber/rubber-like blade. We own a roof rake, and its blade is made of a much stiffer material. The blade on the snow sweeper is softer and more flexible, strong enough to push or pull across a car, but I doubt it would hold up being dragged across the rough surface of roof shingles. Also, unless your house is very close to the ground, I don't know how you'd be able to reach much of the roof.

Hello Candi, This snow sweeper would be able to function as a roof rake, but you would not have the reach that the SRR2100 has. It extends to a length of 5 feet, which is adequate for most large automobiles, but would likely be too short to be a productive roof rake.

Danny, I can only guess at an answer. If we had solar panels at ground level, and they were the same type of panels that we presently have on our roof, yes, I would think the snow sweeper would be fine to use on the panels. The black "blade" on the sweeper is somewhat flexible, sort of like windshield wiper blades. I can't imagine how it could damage the panels, but then I'm not an expert. Can you check with the company from which you leased or purchased your panels? If I had that question, I think I'd try calling the solar company. Or, I'd send them an email, and attach the writeup for the snow sweeper. Good luck!

I've used this Suncast telescoping snow sweeper a few times now and we get a lot of snow in Michigan. I was just helping my co worker clear their car off today which had about 5-6 inches on it, and then I cleared off my own car off, and the swivel end that is suppose to lock into 3 different positions just broke and now the swivel part just flops around. I've only use this in total about 4 or 5 times since I bought it. This should be designed with a push button that unlocks it so you can swivel it to the position you want, and then locks in place again. Now it just flops around and It's become useless to me and I threw it out. That part was poorly made and designed.
