If I install this on a suncourt in-line duct fan, does it cycle automatically with the a/c or do I have to turn it on and off?

Hello, it would not cycle with your HVAC system. You would need to manually turn the duct booster on / off when it is used with the variable speed controller. For automatic operation you'll need to pair the duct booster with our Ductstat Temperature Sensitive Switch. No. The VS100 variable speed controller can handle up to a 2.5 amp load.

I am looking for a replacement for a Fasco , "Solid State" variable speed, whole house fan control. The label on the switch says that it is PN 8587-8102 for use with Fasco attic fan models 3038 NS / 3001VNS . It says it is for 120V 60Hz, but has no current rating. There are only two leads on the Fasco switch. From the only view showing the cover plate, this Suncourt product looks the same. Will it work?
