The combination of assist bars with regular bathroom fixtures was a brilliant idea, and allows for safety in the home without sacrificing style or looking like a hospital bathroom. This Toilet Paper Holder is SOLID, and will hold the weight of an elderly person while standing to get up from the toilet. I really like the hinged design of the roll-holder itself; just lift on one side and slide the roll on.

Delta "Decor Assist" toilet paper holder in champagne bronze is a solid, heavy and well-crafted piece. Upon receiving the box I was surprised at the weight right off the bat. There is a 300 pound weight limit on the assist handle and structure itself. The kit comes with everything necessary to install where a stud is present or without and onto gypsum board (sheetrock) or comparable wall boards. The color is unique and quite appealing. My mother-in-law is getting on in years and seems to use almost any protruding object when making her way around the house so I know she will like this beautifully crafted and well thought out piece of bathroom apparel. We ended up putting this paper holder for the toilet into our vanity in our upstairs bathroom instead of inside a wall; which was no problem ! We just didn't use the assist bar with the install which is not a problem. Overall it has a really really good look and we are happy with how it turned out. Installation is not as simple as your run of the mill toilet paper holders but that's because this one has an assist bar and should be mounted according to the instructions. Even so, installation is not complicated. When mounted properly, it can handle quite a bit of weight.

Great product! This toilet paper holder with assist bar is really nice. Installation is straight forward and simple, and with the right tools in hand can be installed rather quickly. The bar is really heavy duty, and stylish. I really like how simple it is to change the toilet paper on this, as there are no spring-loaded pieces to shoot across the room if you aren't paying attention. Simply lift the bar the toilet paper is on, slide off the old roll, slide on a new one and push the bar back into place. The bar comes with two bolts for putting into studs (installation requests that at least one stud is used in the installation of this bar) and a bar to slide inside the wall that you can use for extra support when only using drywall on one side.

This is a elegant, masculine, and solid toilet paper holder. Delta is making a line of toilet paper holders with assist bar that are excellent. They will hold a lot of weight if needed in case of a loss of balance. But you really don't need it for that at all. Alone by itself it is a beautiful toilet paper holder. It is on the larger size so if you want to put it in a half bath it might be kind of tight but it looks great in my master bathroom. Just a word of caution if you live in a townhouse and this toilet paper holder is going against the wall next to the adjacent wall you will need to purchase a zinc drywall anchor. You can get it a Home Depot and it is made by Hilti. Always try to secure one end to the stud and the other end with the anchor.

The Chrome finish is Very High quality. Install is very simple & straightforward with the supplied hardware. you do need to locate one of the studs when installing this. i really enjoy the fact that to install or replace a roll of toilet Paper it is just a matter of lifting the lower bar... SO much better than the traditional two piece spring loaded roller

This is a real heavy duty toilet paper holder with an incorporated assist bar. The easy design to change a roll of paper is really nice. Just raise one side, no more two hands needed to change the old style push bar. I will need to reinforce the wall from behind the drywall to properly install this in my bathroom to make sure when using the assist bar is secure. Easy enough by installing a 2x4 from stud to stud. I highly recommend this product and it looks great. Delta has done a great job in matching fixtures this one is Chrome.

This has to be one of the best, if not the best product for the bathroom. Stunning champagne Bronze that does not scratch easily at all. The brass holder with an assist bar is a heavy duty one with an excellent design with quality that that explains the asking price. The pivoting rod is especially useful for the handy capped individual as well as the assist bar. Easy to follow instructions that guides you almost effortlessly step by step. Screwed to a stud and the other side using an anchor and lifted my 220LB weight using the assist bar so my feet were off the ground Looks superb, and with the pivoting bar a quick easy way to change the tissue, this is an excellent buy and when I wrote that it does not scratch easily, despite the holder being on the tiled floor and being accidentally moved several times whilst drilling, the surface was smooth and scratch free as when removed from its packaging.

This toilet paper holder with assist bar is such a problem solver, while still being stylish. I love the way it doesn't look "like a grab bar," yet a person can hold onto it and use it for stability. Like every "weight rated" product I've ever installed (ie; grab bars), you have to know what's behind the wall, or more ideally, if you're doing a remodel, install wood supports behind the wall where you know it's going to be. It did come with special anchors you can use if you're not tearing open your walls or don't have a stud behind it, but you do still have to know that you have at least .5" sheetrock that it's going into. Not everyone knows exactly how thick their sheetrock/wallboard is, so I could see this being a potential issue for some. The feature I like the most about this, however, is the way the toilet paper is replaced... no more of those spring-loaded things to deal with... this has a bar you lift up, replace the roll, and put it back down again. Very easy to do. It does hold any size roll of toilet paper easily, even the new, bulkier ones. The entire product is made of metal with a very elegant finish. It matches well with other oil rubbed bronze fixtures in my bathroom.

Definitely a good solid improvement over the old style of bath tissue holder. It surprises me just how much more solid these are than the simple 2 post and spring loaded holder which sometimes gets lost. It looks great and it’s really simple to replace toilet paper when need be. The installation is really simple and the kit it comes with for mounting has a good option in case you can only hit one stud or none. But I definitely suggest hitting at least one stud if your going to use the assist bar on it. This thing feels solid and like it’s going to last a long time.

Furthermore, the product is a great weight and clearly sturdy. It is not your typical toilet paper holder that tends to be flimsy. The product is heavy duty, and the assist bar is a great feature lacking in most other toilet paper holders! It is a bit larger than our previous toilet paper holder, so we had to cover up some holes, but this was not a big deal when getting such a high quality product in return! Put this in my kids restroom and it looks great and serves it purpose and then some. Really easy to change out rolls when necessary and now my kids won’t lose it like my old spring loaded one because this one is attached and we simply lift up like a lever and change it. When remodeling out master bath, we wanted to improve accessibility. We increased height of the toilet, lowered the lip on the new shower and added stylish looking grab bars, including this one. Contractor added bracing in the wall and now this toilet roll holder is going nowhere. I just wished it had been available in a brushed/satin nickel finish... which would have blended better with my other fixtures

Great product without appearance of handicapped bar. It is rather deep so, I could use in powder room but not in secondary room bc it stuck out too far from wall in smaller spaces. Overall the product is a winner!!!
