So I perched this light to light up a guitar stand and the battery life is the worst I have ever seen on any product I have perched that is battery operated. It says 6 hrs on lowest settings, well they were not kidding! Mine after a full charge only lasted 3.5 hrs max on the lowest setting. As far as the lights on the highest settings well I might have gotten an hr on them. What a joke!!! So I figured I would give them a second chargeing and see what happens! More then likely going back /return

Great setup for the money! I love the rechargeable controller/power supply. It’s cool that it can be used with the remote too! I used the EcoSmart LED lights for a Hot Wheels race track shelf I built for my grandkids bedroom.

I really like that this is battery powered. We put this light in a dark closet, and with the motion sensor it can detect when we open the door and automatically lights up the closet for us! It’s nice that we can wrap it around the door frame and illuminate the closet from top to bottom rather than just having a single light at the top that casts shadows. It’s not the brightest light, but it works well for what we need, and was super easy to set up since it has double stick tape pre-installed on the clips and the back of the light strip itself. It also has a magnetic strip to hang the motion sensor box, so it’s easy to remove when it needs to be recharged.

Let’s start with installation. Super easy has 3m tape on the back. Simply remove the tape and adhere to the surface you like. This does have a remote control, motion sensing all the controller. It does come charged. They do give you a charging cable. Recharge was about 45 minutes. It has many different settings like adjusting the color, lighting brightness You can set it to activate via motion or use the remote and just play with the colors. The dynamic button flashes runs changes colors. You can also set it on auto and it will run thru all its paces. It’s just a lot of fun.

These worked perfectly. Remote works well and battery life is good.

I had this battery power light strip for about 3 weeks. I was going to install it under the kitchen cabinets on side with out a powe outlet. But i now i think i am keeping it for my camping kitchen. This lights is 40 inches long. Good size. And thinkig about it. It would make a great mechanic light. For this price .you can't go wrong. Just roll it up on a pvp pipe and you done. A cool around light. Now the hard part. Which one do I do. Ha ha that was a trick question i'm gonna make them all. Back to the store to get more of these lights.

Great light strip. It is just white, no color options. There are various modes you can select. To save the batteries there is a motion sensor. This worked so well, I bought three more! The lights in my hallway were not sufficient enough to light up my wardrobes. I had planned on installing some wired lights... eventually. But when I came across these, I figured I'd give them a shot. They were super easy to install and they are bright enough to light up the whole wardrobes and drawers. No wiring required, and the motion sensors work perfectly. They're easy to cut to fit your desired length.

So far, they have lasted a while so we'll see how long they actually last. These are great to use on my desk in my office which does not have any windows and is kind of dark. I love that they have a motion sensor so when I walk in, they turn on.

The Ecosmart 40in. battery powered light strip is a fun little item. It comes with everything you need to use it. Remote control, batteries and mounting clips are all included. The most difficult thing for using this light strip, is where to place the controller which has the motion sensor and holds the batteries. The strip is perfect for use under cabinets, in bookshelves, in closets, inside of a dark cabinet, etc. The light can be turned on/off manually or be set to sense motion for activation. The light is adjustable in several ways. You can dim the light to presets 50, 25 and 10 percent of brightness. There is also a setting for flashing and the speed of the flash. The remote control is easy to use and controls all these functions.

I ordered the EcoSmart 40-inch White Battery Powered Strip Light with Motion Sensor for my kitchen cabinets. I have strip lights installed on the left side, but I don't have a power source to install on the right side. Since this strip light is battery operated, I was able to easily install over the small section of upper kitchen cabinets. The light strip kit comes complete with light strip, controller, batteries for the controller and a remote-control unit. Installation was quick and easy. The remote control can turn on and off the lights and adjust the brightness, set the motion control feature, set the blink and fade options. The box demonstrated installing light strip under the stair risers, which I really like, but did not like seeing the controller box mounted on the riser and there is no way to connect multiple light strips to one controller. I like this product and do recommend it.

Very cool ribbon of lights, they can flash or dim, which are both nice features. The sensor is a motion detector, which we installed under our bathroom floating vanity. The sensor hangs down a little bit, which isn't very visible. The light is just enough for guests using the guest bathroom in the night. It peeled very easily and stuck well to the underside and the sensor stuck easily to the wall. Love this!

The Ecosmart 40 inch battery powered strip light with motion sensor is just what I wanted to put in a steel cabinet that I have. This cabinet is something that I wanted light in when I opened the door. I like that fact that the lights are dimmable. Once you set the brightness on the remote control, that is the brightness you get when activated. The remote lets you do things like dim or make the lights flash, or even fade. The light runs on 4 AAA batteries. It will be interesting to see how long the batteries last. Overall I really like this lights, you might say they are just right!

​We have a large freezer in our laundry room. It's just past a utility sink. When it's dark I'd like enough light in this area to see better. I have a tap light, but it's awkward to find it in the dark. I thought something that was motion based would be a good fit for the space. This set of Led lights with the controller independent of the light strip seems to be the perfect solution. I can hide the lights under the wall mounted cabinets and let the remote descend below. The LED lights turn off after no motion has been detected for one minute, which is ideal for this location. They come with a remote to adjust the brightness (dimmable), to enable/disable motion detection and to allow the lights to fade or flash (which I doubt I'll use). The lights have a silicon/epoxy coating over the strip so they are probably safe for damp locations. The battery holder has the motion sensor attached to it, as well as an on/off switch and a switch to enable/disable the motion detector. After installation I find they are perfect for my planned usage. After I exhaust the 4 AAA batteries that it came with I will probably replace them with rechargeables. I wish that the unit had a rechargeable battery inside (LiPo or a 18650), that I could recharge with a USB cord. I also wish the LED's could be driven with a USB adapter, and the connector from the LED lights to the batteries used a USB (C) connector. This would make them much more flexible and more environmentally friendly.

I'm much more impressed with this LED light strip than I thought I might be. It's not much to look at but it's great for my needs. I've set this up in my shed that really needed lighting. It get very dark in there and I don't always have a flashlight or my phone with me. I didn't want to run power to the shed just for a light. This is the solution for me. The strip and control themselves work great as a motion detector. Once it's been on with no motion for a minute or so it turns itself off (Yes, I checked from inside Haha). As I am opening the door to the shed I see the light come on. I've tested it several times and it's worked perfectly every time. That's as much as I need. The control takes 4 AAA batteries which are included. The light itself has a peel and stick adhesive strip on it's back that makes mounting it quick and easy. They also provide 4 clips with peel and stick as well as holes to screw them in. I found it odd that they provided 4 clips but only 2 of the tiny screws. The control also has peel and stick mounting and the strip just plugs into it. The remote has a lot of functions. It enables motion activation on and off, flash mode, fade mode. controls for percentage of brightness you want and an up/down to fine tune it. You can control the speed of the fade or flash and much more. I hope it lasts a long time as it is just what I needed. Oh yeah, you can even cut the strip at the points that are labeled. Great for closets, basements, sheds, attics, Cabinets, dark corners or anywhere you could use a little extra light without running power. It's a great solution for me that I recommend to you.

Stick the tape to the underside of the big fenders and down the frame, all the way to the front fender with a little slack for steering, and my bike will be ultra-visible AND look amazing. We’ll likely do each of the kids’ bikes, but just the frame since they don’t have big fenders. Anyways, this is a wonderful LED set and concept. It works anywhere with the battery pack and the lights are regular RGBWs, so they are just as bright as regular plug in RGBWs because the ARE regular RGBWs, just with a rad battery pack.

I just tried out the EcoSmart Color Changing, Rechargable Battery Strip LED Light last night in our garden. I just hung it up on our clothes line to check it out and see some of the many features this little rock star of a light has. I only played with a couple of the features to takes some pictures, and did not get a chance to use the remote until today. I am impressed with the many options and different colors that I have at my finger tips by using the remote. The remote has +/- mode, +/- speed, brightness control for any of the colors, buttons for white, blue, green and black, auto, color (pressing this will change colors automatically), and then the motion sensing option for either day or nighttime, you can select how long the light will remain on. You can cut the strip down to a desired length if it is too long for your needs. The one I have is 16.4 feet. This will be used for outdoor disco party and a wedding this weekend. Very excited.

This is so RAD. A LED strip that is rechargeable and can be placed ANYWHERE. Have a dollhouse for your kiddo that wants soffit lighting or a club room, easy. Have a Nursery that would be fun with a crib that has underglow, easy. Have a wet bar that doesn't have an outlet and could be upgraded with lighting, easy. Pretty much anywhere you don't have an outlet you can add these lights. It has all of the function you'd normally expect and a remote. I installed this in a cabinet above our microwave for fun. Now my kids want this for bed underglow. but they aren't gonna sleep because they'll have too much fun.

It has a dimmable (100%, 75%, 50%, and 25%) bright white light that can be cut to any length and a rechargeable battery using a supplied USB C connector. It has a remote controller that functions well. It has a "fade" and a "flash" setting, and a motion sensor. I like it because it can be placed anywhere, such as in a car.

After installing two sets of these "EcoSMART" light strips, my elation over finding these rechargeable strip lights, quickly faded into the sunset. Normally, the base unit can offer up options that the remote control cannot, and sometimes the latter overrides the base unit. Unfortunately, these strip lights don't offer too many options that can be set up and used in a practical situation...the settings that you may need for extended "on times", are not there. The motion activated feature, only has a max on mode of two minutes. This means that if I install them in a closet, I can have the motion activate when I walk into the closet...but if I need it to be on, I now have to get the remote control and turn them on - it defeats the purpose of having strip lights if you ask me.

I had been looking for a particular set/type of strip lights for underneath my kitchen cabinets. They had to have certain items checked off on my list: rechargeable was imperative because the available outlets on my walls would not allow for a clean install. I needed motion activation for late night walk throughs. The Eco Smart strip lights really seemed to fit the bill. I installed them under my cabinets, and loved the way they looked and seamlessly integrated into the background of my kitchen. It wasn't until I was setting up the remote control, that I found out that they cannot be 'scheduled' for a regular time to be on! In fact, unless you manually toggle the unit to be "on" via the remote control, the longest that these lights will stay on after being activated by motion, is 120 seconds...only two short minutes! It's not practical in ANY situation...yes, they may activate via motion, but you will have to grab the remote each and every time to get them to stay on. And again, there is no way to schedule them to simply be "on" every evening for an hour or so...Now I realize that the rechargeable status of the unit will play into how often it would have to be charged, but going through the trouble of installing a light that only stays on for two minutes, is pretty useless if you ask me. Highly disappointed and let down
