Uneven Color and Stone Granule Loss
The color of these shingles isn’t uniform and it caused a streaky look on my roof that shows up on sunny days. It looks odd, and is embarrassing.
The roof is nearly 4 months old and I am still seeing quite a few stone shingle granules in my gutters when I clean them. This was expected after a new install, but seems like the rate of loss should be slowed by now. Hopefully it stops soon or this roof is destined to fail prematurely.
Overall I’m not happy with these shingles and would definitely go a different direction if I could do it again.

New roof looks great
My old roof had entry level builder grade shingles that were in terrible condition due to wind damage. I replaced those shingles with GAF shingles. I’m very happy with the appearance of the GAF shingles.

Great looking roof
My roof was replaced last Monday due to aging and leakage. Certified roofers used the best materials and there's no doubt in my mind that this roof will last many years due to the GAF lifetime roofing system.

The shingles we had installed matched our house color.
I replaced my old roof, which was 25 years old plus and, a lady down the street recommended the roofing company she used, and they installed Gaf Tiger Paw Timberline HDZ shingles. This was done on a mobile home. We are very happy with the results.

Relatively easy (depending on roof steepness and access) and quick to install. Triming is difficult without proper tool (recommend tin snips).

New Roof-2023
We had wind damage to 4’ area of my Owens Corning 10 year old roof. As College Facility Director, I received quotes from 4 local roof contractors. I decided to go GAF for warranty and wind protection ( heavier shingle). I insisted minimum number of fasteners on my 12/12 roof. I am well pleased with quality, price and finish. Crew operated safely and cleaned up nicely.

Great Features and 100% better than the original roof
I had my roof replaced at the beginning of August because of a leak I noticed. When they started replacing the roof I am glad I did because of the other unseen rotting and other leaks and the original roof was only 21 years old. Extremely happy with the installers due to their professionalism and cleanliness at the end of the day you didn’t even know they were here.

sent me four different colors
I orderd nine barkwood bundles, paid to have them delivered and they brought me, Barkwood, Slate, Hickory , and Charcoal!!!! Whole reason i had them deliverd was ao i didnt have to lod them. Now i have to takr them back and change them for what i ordered and haul them twice abd out the $80 delivery fee.

A Wise Choice
We recently replaced our original roof, 17 years after installation and, almost immediately, realized that we had made the right choice. While seemingly thin, the underlayment/insulation blocks noises we have been hearing. I'm sure it will help keep out unwanted insect visitors too!
