I’ve had my washer for two years now. From almost the beginning I have issues with the load becoming unbalanced during the cycle, causing it to shake violently until I pause the cycle and fix it. But, it does a good job other than that.

Purchased the better price and I regret it, I thought maybe buying the hotpoint and saving myself $200 over the on sale washer I would get a decent washer I wash maybe 6 loads of clothes monthly on this thing and had a noise 3 months after the purchase not gonna bother with anything but this because they are just gonna try selling me a part that I'm never gonna use because, marketplace!

Ours stopped working after two years of use. The dreaded blinking lid locked light that cannot be cleared. Please do better. These cost too much money to only get two years of life.

This is by far the worst washer. The water level never fill up before it starts washing. I literally hate this washer I rather go to a laundry mat.

Bought a HTW240ASK6WS in July of 22 from home Depot for our vacation home. Not two years in and when running a load, there is a loud banging noise coming from the machine. The vacation home is vacant most of the time so we didn't expect this kind of failure so soon but perhaps it is engineered obsolescence since I see there is a new model number which replace the 6 with a K. Reached out to GE Appliance on Facebook but no response.

I'm super frustrated with this product. First I had an issue with the lid lock not unlocking then the lid lock broke and had to replace it. Now the machine won't even soak or filll or wash or rinse or spin. This product has really given me a headache. Learn the lesson is not always good to get the less expensive. And I would probably have to pay more than what this machine even cost me to have someone come out to service it and fix it. So disappointing.

I just bought this and had it installed a few days ago. It works great but it's kind of loud. It's easy to use and if I hadn't paid for installation, I could have done it myself

Just bought it, connected it, it filled only, then after while let the water out. Tried unplugging and plugging back in. Still fills then stops?

Wish I had my old washing machine. With that one, if the load got unbalanced and didn't manage to expel the water from the basket on the spin part of the cycle, you could just redistribute the load, move the dial back to "spin", and take care of the problem. With this machine, all it will do is start the whole cycle all over again. Once I did that three times with the same result of a basket full of water. Finally I had to take the laundry out and hang it up to dry. So frustrating!

So far so good! We bought this washer because we didn't want the extra bells and whistles anymore. We've only had it a week but washed about 10 loads and it seems to clean clothes well!!!

I didn't expect it to be this big. It sounds like a duck but its working great. The features are worth the purchase.

What an impressive machine! It is quiet and efficient, the precise fill water management is green energy and excellent for the environment.

About three years ago, I bought the top-of-the-line top loader GE washer and dryer. The washer had two motherboards and water pump replaced in the three years I owed it. It went down again so I opted to buy the plain Jane, no frills Hotpoint 3.8 cu ft washer in November 2023. The first one I received, the tub was cracked. Home Depot brought me a new one two weeks later. Eveything has been good since then. I’ve been happy. It washes well. Fast forward to today, March 5, 2024, as I’m loading clothes in my washer, I noticed there are three cracks in the tub of the washer. I contacted Hot Point/GE appliances. They told me this is not something they cover and to contact Home Depot. Home Depot says I had 48 hours to report any damages. Well, it has occurred recently with normal use. There’s two of us that live here and nothing out of the ordinary has been washed. Clearly there are tub issues and no one to help!!

Purrs like a kitten.. holds quite a bit of laundry .. and I am soooo glad to have an agitator back.. My old non-agitator machine broke beyond repair and this was the only model available to take home .. and I Love it!!

I bought this two months ago when our washer stopped working. The instructions were easy to follow and installation was so fast! I am so happy with our new washer.

Extremely Loud always sounds like it's out of balance and makes weird loud noises . My laundry room shakes when on the spin cycle.

It's just a very OK washing machine. Nothing special, but gets the job done on smaller loads.

Loud! Already sounds like agitator going bad. Sounds like an airplane taking off. Cannot complete wash cycle without adjusting load and the washer/drum is level. Never buy again. Do not recommend.

We bought this because of the reviews. This one does not rinse the clothes, and there is no setting to go in and just rerinse the clothes (deep rinse did not help). We noticed that the clothes did not seem clean, and kind of CRUNCHY after drying them. That is because their was still soap residue on them. Even after running the clothes through a second time (with no soap added), as seen in the picture there was still soap in the basket.
