So far, so good. Using 4 in series for a large APC Back up power unit, lots of runtime and charge reasonably fast after discharge.

I am using this battery for storage on my small solar charger. It is a work in progress, so I can only report on how it is working so far. It is doing a good job of powering my HAM gear, and a couple of LED lights. Operation has been hampered by cloudy fall weather. Not enough power generated. The battery is fairly heavy. It comes with a strap handle to carry it. It has threaded holes for connecting the power. Bolts and washers are included to make the connection. The bolts thread into the terminal posts, rather then going through them. Breaking a bolt off would be a problem. The battery comes with plastic caps over the terminals for safety.

Behold the Mighty Max! Puts power where you need it. This battery has a compact size and is surprisingly heavy when you look at that size. It is a standard at around 12 volts. It is rated at 35 Amp hours. As a deep cycle battery it is drained about halfway and then recharged again and again. Popular use of batteries like this is in outdoor recreation. Running small electric boat motors and powering lights, entertainment and small efficient camping refrigerators. I used this as a replacement for the house battery in my small camping trailer. It's AGM, or Absorbent Glass Mat type can be used without having concerns about venting. It can be used in enclosed spaces. An advantage is it can be located anywhere in the camping trailer to maximize efficient weight distribution. Like putting a heavy object like the battery over the axle for stability in trailer handling. One could purchase two of these and run them in parallel to provide a healthy 70 Amp hours of power reserve. This battery comes conveniently, with a strong carrying strap and hardware(screws) for attaching cables at the terminals.

There is a lot about this battery that I do not understand. I like the fact that it is maintenance free and does not produce harmful gases when it is being charged. It is about the size of a lawn tractor battery but weighs about as much as a car battery. My battery did not come with any literature nor did it come with any terminal connections - see pictures. I reached out to their customer service and heard back in around 24 hours that they would send me some terminal screws. I got the screws in less than a week and have installed them - see pictures. As you can see from the pictures, this battery is not designed to accommodate normal battery terminals. I plan to use this battery in my cabin to run a dc water transfer pump so it should work fine; however, I do not know how you could use it in say a lawn tractor. It would be nice if some literature and instructions were included with the battery. The battery does come with a nice cloth carrying strap attached.

This is a review of the MIGHTY MAX BATTERY 12-Volt 35 Ah Rechargeable GEL Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) Battery. I really like these Gel batteries as they have much better life spans the Flooded Lead acid batteries, and you don't have to worry about orientation and the battery gassing while it charges. My battery came with a cloth handle, and not the plastic handle you see in the picture on the item description. I actually like the cloth handle, as it does not stick up and get in the way during a tight fitting installation.

This GEL battery is a good choice if you need a good, long-lasting deep cell battery. GEL batteries have many benefits, like being able to be used in any position, being able to handle a deep discharge, being very safe and needing almost no maintenance. They can also hold a charge for a very long time, except in cold, winter temperatures. With so many benefits, they have many, many potential uses. I got this to use as the “house” battery for a camper van conversion. I don’t need a lot of power, but would like to have the ability to use LED lights, and electronics like a laptop as well as and charge cellphones. Discharging to 50 percent is likely, and this battery can handle that easily without damage. It is worth noting that this is NOT an AGM battery, and there are important differences which are beyond the scope of this review but are worth researching. Also, there are limits on the rate of charge for this type of battery, and they shouldn’t be charged directly off a vehicle alternator without some smart technology in between. I was disappointed in the lack of information available on the manufacturer’s website, specifically about charging rates and recommended types of on-board chargers to use with an RV situation being charged by the vehicle. I expect that this should last for 7-10 years or longer, which is the norm for a GEL battery. If I experience problems, I will update this review.

I was impressed with the care in packaging of this Mighty Max battery. It was encased in two layers of corrugated cardboard inside the box. I have some property in the country where I use a utility vehicle to get around and I am always needing batteries for this vehicle. I tested it in the vehicle and it started right up. It feels durable and sturdy in my hands. I am very happy with this product as I have been with other batteries from this brand.

I ordered this battery with the idea I would use it in conjunction with a small sonar panel to drive a 12 volt water pump. I am in the process of designing a small water feature for our back patio & this battery is a key component. I have the solar panel & the converter, so once I get the correct cabling & can test the charging side of the system. I have spent some time looking for interesting water features, hope to find something I like soon. This battery can be utilized in a wide variety of applications requiring a 12 volt DC power source.

Mighty Max Gel Sealed Batteries are Amazing. 12 Volts of Power and 35 AH of use on one and every charge. No Harmful Gases while charging as they are Sealed with no need to ever add water. This is a Great addition to Hunting camp and Fishing trips. I can use this to sharpen my chain saw with my 12 volt sharpener. So many uses for this battery and it can be used in any position. I'm Excited.

I love this maintenance free Mighty Max Battery as it stores energy for exactly when I need it to run tools and yard excessories and much more. It recharges perfectly and provides 12 volts plus of power as I need it. I have numerous batteries but because this battery is compact it saves me on room and not only be used for my solar off-grid systems but could be utilized for so many other usages. They are compatible to run in series with other 12-volt batteries and because they are true deep cycle can be used daily and recharged by my solar setup. They can also be used in any position if you have tight spots. As my batteries will eventually need to be replaced some as old now as 7 years, I will replace them with these 12-volt Gel Sealed Lead Acid Mighty Max Batteries as they are less bulky and last as long or longer possibly. And unlike some of the other car/marine batteries I currently also use may leak harmful gases into the air. I love this battery and will get more as I still have room on my relays to store more power. Great product I highly recommend.

Excellent batteries! I bought them for a mobility scooter. First time using gel batteries and it seems to have a little more pep than it did before. So far, so good.

Gel batteries to me are the best they dont need charging often if youre not going long distances. when i do go my scooter will flat out go!!! Great batteries!!!
