[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this about a month ago. We wanted replace a 29 year old Whirlpool and switch to a bottom freezer. Because of space limitations we had to drop from a 21 cu ft to this 18.7 cu ft. At first the interior seemed a little small, but after some adjustment of the shelves and the advantage of eye level access we are in love with it. The glass shelves are easily adjustable as are the door shelves. An added benefit of the door shelves is that they are solid, no open rail. All contents stay put, and if something spills it will stay in the shelf for easy cleaning. The ice maker takes up more space than is optimal and makes more ice that we would ever need, as a result a standard pizza box will not fit in the top basket with the ice maker.. The bottom freezer basket offers plenty of space for packages of veggies. The temperature settings; to maintain zero to 5 in the freezer we had to set at 5 of 7, to maintain 35-40 in the refrigerator section required a setting of 6 of 7. The bottom drawer, as in any bottom freezer, requires an easy pull from the center, seals tight.. The main refrigerator door seals tight, sometimes too tight, a fairly strong vacuum seal at times, but very manageable.

The only drawback so far is that the door does not stay open unless it is in a particular angle. Always have to make sure it does not keep opening and hitting my cabinets and scratching up the door. It fits rig Get into the space of my old fridge. Love the bottom freezer.

For a small frig, it has a lot of space. I love the freezer on the bottom. It's quiet and fits everything I need to keep cold.

I always prefer a bottom freezer and this one fits that description well. Even Though it has a few cubic feet less of capacity than my previous whirlpool refrigerator freezer, it seems to hold more in the refrigerator compartment. I love the monochromatic stainless steel because, unlike some other stainless steel finishes, this one does hold magnets on the face of the refrigerator. I like the clean sharp lines, the simpler the better!

I have only had this for a few days , but it is exactly what I wanted. It is spacious and well planned.

This unit has a very basic design flaw. If you have any reasonable amount of food in the freezer it will freeze over the coils and prevent the fridge from cooling. We do not keep a lot of food in the refrigerator, but it still happens over and over and over. A whirpool representative told me this happens because it uses one system that draws cold air from the freezer to cool the refrigerator and when the air gets restricted in any way it freezes over the coils

This fridge door has rusted all over. The quality of stainless steel is poor. I would not recomend this product to anyone. After one year and no longer under warranty. Bad quality.

Looks ok from outside...just ok. Until you touch it! Clean hands leave marks! Are you kidding me? Can't get the prints off. INSIDE...cheap, cheap, CHEAP!! Shelves are shakey, drawers stick, cheap plastic, I feel completely ripped off. Got lazy, ordered online...NEVER again. Never a Whirlpool. I'm a former Kenmore owner, I will be again.

I have had this refrigerator for a few months now and so far I am fairly disappointed. The refrigerator does not cool well. I had two gallons of milk go bad prematurely. The bottom of the door is where the gallon sized shelf is located, yet it offers almost no insulation under it and the least airflow of anywhere in the fridge. I moved my milk to the top glass shelf. I have the fridge on its second to coldest setting and am finally in the "safe zone" temperature wise as confirmed by a refrigerator as well as an IR temp gun. And probably the biggest disappointment is two rust spots forming on the allegedly "stainless steel" door. The door has been cleaned with stainless cleaner/protector and after a humid weekend in the house it has developed rust. And of course the spots have to be right by the handle where I will see them daily. They look like food spots in the pictures, but they are rust.

I was hesitant about buying another Whirlpool refrigerator because my last Whirlpool lasted 5 years. After doing some research on this Whirlpool model, and reading the reviews, I decided to buy this model. I am happy to say I had it for a week and so far so good. I don’t like the 2 plugs in front of the door so, I disguised them with butterfly magnetics, doesn’t look too bad. Also the refrigerator handles match my current Whirlpool appliances.

After using two Frigidaire refrigerators in the last 15 years, the horrible experiences i had with them this refrigerator is AWESOME. No loud noises, no water filters yet i have ice, no leaking water on my Harwood floors This refrigerator is everything you want thats GOOD. I love Whirlpool!!!!

We purchased this refrigerator after an exhaustive search to find a freezer on the bottom style that would fit the smaller space we had in our kitchen. Originally we wanted a french door model but it was too wide. We replaced an 18 yr old GE Profile freezer on top model that was just giving out. We love this new refrigerator and the ease of seeing everything at eye level. It's spacious and even though the capacity is just a tiny bit larger than our old one it seems much larger inside. Love that larger juice & wine bottles fit on the door, frees up so much space on shelves! Shelves are completely adjustable. 4 stars only for 2 reasons: the freezer space is tight for us. We did not want to run a water line for the automatic ice maker so we just use ice cube trays which actually gives us a little more space on the top rack. The bottom bin is slanted in the back making it harder to store square/rectangular shaped boxes...e.g. frozen pizza ( which we keep on hand for emergency dinner) boxes are hard to fit in. The second reason is the fingerprints. This fridge is not fingerprint proof and it shows with every touch. It can be cleaned per instructions but makes us a little crazy.... overall though, never thought i could be thrilled with a fridge...this was great buy !

We we only had for about 25 days so hopefully the longevity is as good as it looks. 4 stars because it was rather expensive for the size. This was the only size that would fit into the space we had.

I hated my side-by-side refridgerator for most of its 15 years. Wanted simplicity this time, and please, no messy dispenser on front door. The wide single door is a refreshing clean look, and it has a touch of retro vibe in its curved edges. Wasn’t sure about the freezer on bottom, but I love it now. We cook with loads of fresh foods, and needed the greater volume on top. SO pleasant to do less bending and searching for that onion! Also, I had considered going with white, but found I do in fact love stainless steel appliances (said in best HGTV voice)!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were looking for a 30-inch fridge to fit in a tight area. We also prefer a bottom freezer with inside ice maker. The cubes made by ice maker are the perfect size - not too large. We prefer a swing door on freezer, but we are pleased with this model nevertheless. We are a couple and are satisfied with the limited freezer space. This is the quietest fridge we have owned. Our home is an open plan and the fridge sits just feet away from where I sit in the living room. Overall, terrific fridge for small space. We are very pleased with this purchase.

This is a review on Whirlpool customer service, not Home Depot or the delivery crew which were great! I ordered a right handed opening door, it came left handed. Delivery guys said it was an easy fix with one exception, the plastic/rubber like “screws” that Whirlpool uses tend to break when removed to change the handle placement and Whirlpool DOES NOT SEND EXTRAS knowing this is a problem. Delivery guy called Whirlpool on speaker phone so I could hear the conversation. Get this, it takes 6-8 weeks to get a service call! But only 2 weeks to get a whole new refrigerator. So now they are ordering a new refrigerator just for these defective “screws”. What a messed up system.

Warning!!! I read all the great reviews and bought this refrigerator. Within a year the bottom freezer is rusting. The front of the freezer door is rusting!!! I bought not 1 but 3 whirlpool appliances and I have big issues with all 3 of them. This refrigerator is STAINLESS STEEL and is inside in my kitchen and it is rusting. Also I have only used recommended products to clean it and the entire door never looks clean. Buyer beware! I have downloaded 3 pictures. The rust is easy to see but the marks on the fridge are harder to see. But I just went over cleaning that refrigerator 3 times and it has marks all over it.

Nice fridge. Freezer seems small. I like the light in the freezer. Not super quiet, but not loud either. I've had it a couple of months. Nice to have the ice maker. I had my plumber install a filter on my water line because the fridge doesn't have one.

I bought this refrigerator for my daughter and son-in-law. Their old fridge was leaking cold air out of bad seals, and kept ruining food. They were short on funds, so I decided to help them out. I read all the customer reviews on refrigerators that Home Depot sells, and this one had the best reviews. Looking over the features, I recognized that it has features that I know from experience to be good, such as a bottom freezer, adjustable shelves with brackets running down the center for strength, big door storage, etc. I ordered it, bought the extended warranty, and the suggested ice-maker PEX line. I scheduled delivery and this last Friday it was delivered in perfect condition, and set up. My son-in-law and daughter absolutely love it. Now they can buy food without worrying about it going bad! Thanks Whirlpool, and Home Depot, you are Dad approved!

We just got the Whirlpool refrigerator. It is a handsome unit and we like it, but the bottom hinge of the top door with some clear lubrication leaks all over to the freezer part. We use a piece of paper towel and tape to catch the lubrication. It is ugly for the good looking unit. I got some of it on my shirt because I did not expect and did not see it. And the door swings suddenly wide every single time that we open it. Someone at the store told us that it would take at least 30 minutes wait for taking to the human if we called the Whirlpool directly. Help! If anyone can make our Whirlpool hinge is perfect like new, please.

I received delivery on Friday, installed the water line on Saturday and emptied the old side by side into it. The amount of space is incredible! The freezer will take a little getting used to arranging but having it in the bottom is awesome. The ice maker works perfectly!

Bought this refrigerator a couple of years ago but only started using it in the fall of 2016. It works great and is very efficient. It is big for just my wife and I, we never fill it up but I wanted it big for when we had guests. The only negative is the door takes a good pull to open because the magnetic seal strip is so good. The upside to that is low electric usage. If you haven't switched to a bottom freezer I totally recommend them. Most of these modern refrigerators have a pump that actives randomly to allows pooled condensation to be evaporated- I guess. This pump makes some noise but after while you don't notice it. This is a great product by Whirlpool and I totally recommend it.

I needed a smaller size thats never on the showroom floor, so when I shopped online I found this model. Upon ordering it, I found the unit to be nice looking overall, the Whirpool logo is a little TOO big, the freezer is a little small, the fridge is a nice size but contains no covered drawer in the door (the one you usually keep butter in). I thought okay, all things I can get passed. However, upon further inspection, I found that all the corners of the doors where the stainless steel should seam together was exposed glue, some big dots of glue, some glue oozing out of the whole seam, a big scratch on the inside lip, as well as rippling in the plastic on the side of the interior. I think for a reputable company and for the cost, this must just be one bad unit. I happened to be in home depot the day after getting this and looked at different brands... seems Whirlpool and Maytag (the only other freezer bottom fridge this size) all have this glue issue. In realizing that it wasn't just my unit, I decided to return the unit and go with a different brand.

Easy installation. Perfect fit for our small kitchen and holds all our crew members lunches!!!!

The delivery drivers were great. The unit has been working just as it should. I'm very happy with my purchase and the whole experience.
