Sink Installation 101

Does Home Depot install kitchen and bathroom sinks?

Yes, Home Depot offers professional in-home installation for eligible kitchen and bathroom sinks purchased in-store and online. Check with an associate at your local Home Depot store to see if kitchen sink installation and bathroom sink installation are available in your area.

What sink styles does Home Depot install?

Where available, Home Depot installs lavatory sinks, stainless steel drop-in sinks and, for an additional charge, cast iron drop-in sinks. We do not install undermount or farmhouse sinks at this time.

How much does it cost to have a new sink installed?

Sink installation costs on average $200-$350, which includes removal and haul away of the old sink, new sink installation and reconnection of new supply lines provided by the installer. Costs vary depending on which room the sink will be installed in (kitchen or bath) as well as what part of the country you live in. Cost of any sink or plumbing rework required for a new sink style are not included.

Do I need to provide any measurements for sink installation?

Yes, we need to know the size of your existing sink, sink cutout and the cabinet around the sink prior to installation of your new sink. Check out this measuring guide to learn how to take accurate measurements to provide to your installer.

Additional Services

Can I get a new garbage disposal installed when my new sink is installed?

Yes, Home Depot can install a new garbage disposal for you during the installation of your new kitchen sink on purchases of qualifying sinks and garbage disposals. Garbage disposal must be newly purchased. We cannot reinstall an existing garbage disposal.

What if my new sink’s bowl is deeper than my existing sink bowl?

We can install your new sink even if it has a deeper bowl, but an additional fee may be charged for rerunning plumbing.

Can you make changes to my countertop to fit my new sink?

No. The cutout in your countertop needs to fit your new sink exactly, as our sink installation service doesn’t include countertop changes.
