Overall happy with results and quality. They look and feel solid. Much better than flimsy plastic shutters. Process takes 3 steps. 1. Sales and initial measurements. 2. Installer comes to remeasure. 3. After a few weeks, appt to install shutters after they were built in Houston. Installation took less than an hour.

There is way too much to go into here, but the communication regarding this project was terrible. The most grievous was the fact that we had to pay Home Depot 100% of the order on the day of the order, but the windows were not ordered from the manufacturer a full TWO MONTHS after we paid $17,000. On the day of the installation, the crew that came to install the windows did not speak one single word of English. I have absolutely no issue with that. They all worked very hard and did a great job on the window install (the clean-up could have been better - we have a lot broken glass on the inside and outside of the house). However, if that is the case, there should be someone that comes at the beginning of the day and walks through expectations of the install and sets the schedule. That person should also be available during the day by phone if there are any questions. It was very frustrating not being able to communicate with the crew, especially regarding the schedule for the day. The install was scheduled for two days, but they obviously wanted to finish it in one day and were on our property until 9 p.m. I am happy that they were able to get the work done in one day, but if we knew that they were going work until 9 p.m., we would have scheduled our day differently. Lastly, we also had a front door as part of our order, which was previously installed and failed inspection due to the wrong permit being provided by Home Depot and the installer using the incorrect screws. The door subsequently passed inspection, but we were never provided the screw caps despite requesting them SEVERAL times. Overall, the communication has been horrible. I believe the full payment policy at the time of order creates an environment that diminishes the level of customer service is provided by Home Depot - you have our money so why hurry... This is the second major purchase that we have made from Home Depot with similar outcomes. 100% will not buy one thing from Home Depot ever again.

Installers were prompt and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves and didn't leave a mess. I get nervous these days with hiring people because a lot of times they are late and/or need to reschedule and that's IF they show up at all! I did not have that issue with this project. Everything went according to schedule.
