I don’t know if the store doesn’t allow it but they should because it’s the safety of their employees and customers that they need to worry about. The only reason I'm not giving this store a 1 Star review is because of one employee that went above and beyond for us! Alissa is the only reason we shop at Home Depot. We drive from Midland to the Odessa location just for her. I would not recommend shopping at this store unless it's during her scheduled shifts. During my most recent visit, she helped with a big purchase and special order. During that same trip, Jose, another employee hit me with the gate where the beverages are stored. My husband and I both said something to him and he was on his cell phone and completely ignored us. We complained but the 3 employees we complained to all walked off and left us standing there unsure of any resolution.

It looks as though there is a little improvement in the high parking lot speed bumps towards the middle. I do have to go around them since my vehicle cannot handle the big humps. The speed bumps immediately in the store front are at a reasonable height. If someone will check the other humps in the middle they show more and more signs of vehicles and trailers scrapping which does cause suspension and undercarriage frame damage. Irene did not waste anytime with the refund. Plus it was stress free and no haggles/hassles. I did have my receipt but for some reason I always run into an issue at other return centers. As a do-it-yourself er I tend to make miscalculations and not good judgments so I find myself with materials I need to return or exchange. And Irene never offers a fuss. Keep Irene for as long as possible and please give her some form of recognition.

Thank you HD for continuing to help us have better lives and for keeping the prices as low as possible even after the new year began. So many retailers price gouge customers after the holidays and thank God HD has not jumped to that sort of opportunity. Odessa HD is setting a unique standard that is difficult for others to match. Charisha takes the time to make sure customers shopping needs are satisfactory with her ability to listen intently. There are so many good folks employed at the Odessa HD. Some others that also need recognition are Sheila, Kyle the manager, the manager in the Lumber Department and Isaak. Kyle is sensible and compensates when a problem occurs. Thank you for the in store WiFi. And for the availability of the flat topped carts. Whenever the time comes to resurface the parking lot again consider angled diagonal parking that is smoother and safer . Plus consider reducing the speed bumps to a height that is not so high. The in store demonstrations are a plus to the community and those sort of educational needs benefits people of all ages, especially for customers such as myself that try to improve housing even when I mess up.

Retain them and the rest of the crew for as long as possible The new look of the parking lot is great but whenever possible at least give diagonal angled parking a try since it is safer and much easier to get in and out of the parking spaces. And the new speed bumps/humps are too over-sized. IT department to reprogram the survey code entries so the entries can switch automatically without dashes. When the survey begins the code entries have to be entered and then the spaces has to be entered. When doing so red dialog come up saying so. Then if someone is not paying attention like myself the requirements go unnoticed for the spaces to be applied. Some other surveys have boxes and once the code is entered the cursor switches automatically to the next box. Speed bumps out front are too big. Once customers are loaded the vehicle drags bottom and stress is made on vehicle suspension. Many retailers just can't wait to increase prices exponentially after a new year begins in order to gain more for many reasons such as making up for holiday specials. This price gouging only harms those of us on strict incomes. Thank you HD for continuing to help us and make life more bearable with the best prices you can give us. I am a loyal and grateful customer forever.

The parking lot is already risky but those dangers can be reduced. The inside upgrades are just awesome. My interaction with Issak was smoother this time. Maybe there was a communication breakdown the last time with my experience with him. Or maybe the pressure from closing time was rushing us all out the door due to the store closing early or the long line could have contributed to the bad occurrence since the early closing took us all by surprise. This is why I really love the self checkouts to avoid bad experiences and the atmosphere is less stressful. Once again Sheila was over the top wit CS. Isaak is really doing his best and so is Shelia. This store has a wonderful team. And the manager Kyle ALWAYS makes customers feel like they are welcomed and have come to the right place. Even though good employees are hard to come by this store is loaded with outstanding associates. We are all learning and I too need to change along with the positive chances that happen. The store upgrades are a huge plus. The new speed bumps are little too big and are more hazardous since people are dodging them. Reduce the speed new speed bumps. Most folks are dodging those huge mountainous bumps to avoid damage to the undercarriage of their vehicles and trailers.If the parking lot ever needs to be resurfaced use angled diagonal parking spaces since they are safer and folks with stiff painful necks won't have to swivel their cracking necks so much just trying to exit the parking lot. Health problems are NOT any fun and failing eyesight doesn't help. Soon I will have to stop driving anyway.

For example instead of having customers plug in the numbers and having to place the spaces between the number and letter groupings how about boxes for the keyed in entrances and the boxes advance automatically instead of making the customer advance the cursor? Thank you for the shopping carts. The wheels are so much better and the carts move smoother. Thank you for the WiFi. And for folks like us strapped financially this HD store does a fantastic job helping us with pricing. Thank you so much for taking awesome care for us. Hopefully we are all learning together to smooth out any rough edges. I know I have never tried so hard to try to learn and make things run smoother. Even though there are some chug holes that do happen more often .The store was closing early. I waited 20 minutes in lumber before the manager would allow me to enter the isle. He was kind enough to inform me he would allow me entrance when they completed their task for stocking the holes with the fork lift. The announcer overhead began the count down for closing. So I felt pressure and moved as fast as I could, painfully. I patiently prepared Isaak that I needed the materials added to my Pro Account prior to transaction. He created a hostile environment. yelled for me to exit and his voice resonated throughout the store using Peer Pressure tactics and made a horrible scene. Since there was pressure that the store was closing and I am sure the associates wanted to go home I was doing the best I could to leave as fast as possible and Isaak was rushing me. All Isaak did was slow the process down and he forced me out of the line and made me travel painfully to the service desk with the error that just happened to the CS desk. Then I waited several minutes for an employee to check me out. The store was well past closing and since Isaak failed to hear me out and ignored my pleas and refused to help and ordered me to go to CS with public humiliation tactics the whole event just dragged out longer and longer that necessary. Isaak ordered me to scan my receipt. I had no idea what Isaak was talking about but I am willing to learn what he was trying to tell me since he continued to tell me it was my fault the transaction did not happen as it should have.There a very kind associate named Shelia helped me with the refund and reenter the transaction so it would appear on my Pro account. Take good care of Shelia, Elvira, Virginia, Javier, Ellen and Quan. Isaak needs some education on human interactions and put aside his juvenile actions to harass other people. If Isaak could just try to be a little more understanding and LISTEN to people. I informed him well in advance that I needed the transaction to be added to my Pro account. NO buttons appeared on the screen and in the HEAT of the pressure he was making for me to leave the line and making me nervous he informed me that it was my fault that the error happened since I did not use the pad correctly. But NOTHING showed up on the screen. Then he told me it was my fault since I paid cash. WHAT? I have paid cash before and there was not any problems. So he continued arguing with me and embarrassing me in front of other customers and other employees that was NOT making the scene any better. I'm not sure how it all works but I know an associate was able to make a similar transaction reversed at the register without me having to go to the CS desk which took much longer and more time and energy was used to remedy the error when Isaak refused to help and told me to go to CS. The store upgrades are top notch. While changes are shocking to some at first the store has really done a great job in helping everyone from employees to customers adjust. The parking lot upgrade looks super, but maybe next time when the parking lot needs repair please consider angle diagonal parking which is so much safer and reduce the over sized speed bumps that show obvious signs of being too large for vehicles to pass over without body frame damage to the under carriage. The bumps/humps immediately in the store front are at a reasonable height but the ones out in the middle section are made too high and need to be reduced. When a customer makes a simple reasonable request, it should be regarded as something that could help especially since many customers may have unseen health problems. Javier is and extremely sensible HD associate with a natural talent to be a leader and he really should be a supervisor/manager of some sort. He recognizes customers needs and when someone could use a helping hand he is does not hesitate to go out of his way to assist customers. I am a loyal HD customer and this store has a warm welcoming feel to ALL customers. Odessa is fortunate to have this store and the team that is included with it. Most of the time the store experience is positive. Isaak was probably having a rough day. Or maybe I was having a rough time. Who knows! Here I was trying to help and for some reason in the heat of the moment everything went south, fast. HD helps folks a lot and I am thrilled how much hard work and care goes into helping us all from this store. Thank you Odessa HD for "Nailing It."
