I have been very satisfied with the Auburn Hills Home Depot. When I have a question about a product or a project they are very helpful with the answers. They never make me feel like it's a "dumb" question. I would recommend going there for any "do it" needs.

If you need any assistance on the locations of products, see Phil in the lumber department. He is extremely helpful and will go out of his way to meet you needs. He is a credit to The Home Depot

Everyone seemed friendly enough but I had somehow managed to forget a bag of items. I called up to the store and was transferred to Josh..... head of cashiers. Josh said he did not see the items in anything left behind. But that if I went back up to the store by 8pm when they closed and asked for him, he would see what he could do about helping me get a new one. Arrived around 6:25pm and went to customer service. The lady there called Josh and he told her he would be right over. While my husband and I stood there we saw a guy keep looking at us but never approached us. The customer service lady approached us after assisting another customer and asked if he had come over yet. When we told her now she told us that the guy who kept looking at us was him, so she approached him and ended up coming back with our missing bag of items but never once did Josh acknowledge our presence. Don't tell a customer to ask for you if you aren't in the market to help them. His customer service skills can be improved.

Friendly, helpful staff

I’ve had several experiences of getting over the top customer service from this location. Before curbside service became a norm with covid, I had a sump pump go out at night and someone pulled what I needed and had it at the counter becuase I was cutting it close to closing time. I’ve had good customer support on installs like flooring as well.

The store is nice and most people are friendly. It's easy to get help. But when something is out of stock, the boxes are left there and have you looking in or behind them to see if there's any left. But I wish they had ecos paints in stock or any other non-toxic zero VOC paints. And maybe a few more types of soft bristled paint brushes.

Friendly staff at check out and return counters. Associates are always around to help out and are knowledgeable

Everyone at this store is always friendly, Many know where things are that aren't in their own area. They also call and ask questions for you if they don't know where something is.

Can understand the store running out of cedar boards towards the end of the summer, but does not excuse the extremely rude cashier for embarrassing my husband, a Vietnam vet, who waited patiently to get the cashier at the self checkouts to enter the code for his veteran discount. This cashier waited on two other customers that came after us, then approached my husband and loudly said “what is your problem! “. No excuse for this type of rudeness, especially from an employee.
