From what I have been told (by store employees) there was a problem when this store was built in that the pad was poured 20 feet short in one direction so the store is smaller than a normal HD. This shows up in their lack of products/inventory and how they pack the aisles with extra stock - making shopping more difficult. It is also laid out poorly in that you can't see all the departments when you walk in the door - paint and storage are tucked back around a corner so aren't visible from the front door like a normal HD.

The store has some very helpful nice people both on the floor and at the registers. The two people who assisted me were awesome. I got the two items I needed with no difficulty and quickly

I love this store! The employees here go beyond the extra mile. They take the time to get to know you and they make sure you get everything you need for your projects.

We purchased carpet at this store for our mountain McCall cabin which included furniture removal, carpet removal and disposal, installation and then they were supposed to put the furniture back where it was. The installers arrived as expected and brought the carpet in. As they did this they drug it along side our fridge, leaving huge scrape marks. They took our furniture outside on the deck, exposed and put some in the bathroom where we were in the process of installing LVF. Upon removing the carpet they discovered some problems that kept them from immediately installing... so they left, just left. They did not bring one item inside or put anything back so the other people working could get to their work surface. We weren't there to bring this furniture in as we live in Boise. Leaving everything in shambles and saying they would not be back to the cabin for 2 weeks. Leaving us with no carpet for that length of time in our home that is a vacation rental with people due to arrive for their stay in a home without carpet. We had to hire another local man to install the carpet at great expense $1500 and they gave us a $400 credit, and no apology about all of our furniture left outside in the winter elements. Once the carpet was installed it was discovered they oversold the carpet. We had about $1500 dollars of carpet left, after paying them to drive to McCall to measure accurately.

Well, I purchased the wrong artificial Christmas tree. When I returned it, the cashier, whose name was Laura was incredible. She was warm, welcoming and a delight to work with. Not only did she make the return process painless, she helped me get the correct item, she talked me into a new Home Depot credit card which saved me $25 off my purchase but, I was able to purchase the item with 24 month dating, no interest. If you have a chance to shop at this store... look for Laura. She'll treat you like family.

Excellent service. Really appreciate that the store was fully staffed on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Employees always a step away to help and no waiting.

Over the past several years I have found this store to be excellent or at least very good. But recent experiences lead me to think that it may be under different store management and services have dropped significantly. Very hard to track down employees to assist you with loading or to provide information on products.

Everyone is so friendly! We have chosen this as our main store to shop at due to the consistent positive experiences! I feel this store especially goes above and beyond!

Easy store to navigate on your own, but if you do need help, there is always an associate ready and willing to assist. Very reasonable prices and good return policy.

The cashier assisted me this visit, which made the experience less daunting. She was a pleasure. AND this is coming from a man, who has never took the time to create a review cause 'what's the point' kind of attitude. If by chance my company gets large enough, I will be stealing her from your company.

This store is conveniently located and well stocked. Employees are very friendly and helpful. I just about always find what I want and the prices and merchandise are clearly marked. I am able to get in and out quickly and my time is not wasted. Employee assistance is easily accessed.

This store always has what I need. It's close to home, staff is very friendly and helpful. Especially cashier Michele and Deborah, master gardener, in the gardening dept.

I am very happy with this store they were willing to pull the YEW plant , to protect wildlife , pets and children. There are so many alternatives customers will not miss it . But wildlife will not be fooled and killed by a plant that looks so yummy and is so deadly, It came from Japan originally and is Non-Native and appears as a baby tender pine, something 40 pronghorn were killed by (an entire heard) because of its appearance. I appreciate that they will no longer carry this plant in there store! Thank You for doing the right thing!

The sales people are over the top when it comes to attitude and just being helpful. this particular store is way out of our way to shop at, however, I would rather travel a great distance to shop at a store and be treated fairly and with respect unlike your Meridian Store!

We were really impressed about the service we got when we returned an item. No questions asked, and they found the right item for us to replace it with. With a smile on top!!

As you walk in the store and try to get through the mail aisle that takes you to the different departments it is so crowded that it's difficult to navigate a card down the aisle. As I tried to access paints I ran into two gates blocking off those aisles even though no one was working in those aisles. Aisles in the paint department and the garden department were so crowded with merchandise stock that it was impossible to navigate at all. After backtracking several times I finally had to track someone down to help me get the paint I wanted because that aisle was blocked off. In the garden department I couldn't get to where I wanted to go- entire palettes completely blocked the aisle. Customer service representatives were very nice when I could track them down but what a mess to get my shopping done. I don't think it's that they needed more people in the store, just that they needed to have stocked the store BEFORE they open for business and department managers could check to make sure their aisles are clear for customers. In some instances the aisles were blocked because carts full of merchandise were sitting there ready to be put away but they were sitting diagonally in the aisle which made that aisle impassable. Not sure I want to go through that experience ever again!

I have never worked at a Home Depot, but when I walk thru those doors, I can't help but feel that type of comfort with my surroundings.
