The employees in this store seem to either hate their job, or poorly train to treat their customers.

Cashier checkout employee Oneilia was very nice and professional. True asset to the store

I will only go back to Hempstead if there in no other option. I get the feeling that the stafff working in the customer service department would rather laugh and mock their customers rather than take the time to service their needs. It also looks like being an older white man is a source of entertainment to mess with.

In these days with supply chain issues Hempstead Home Depot has always had what I needed. The store is always clean and good's properly organized on shelves.

As a simple question and cashier wasn't very friendly and unwilling to help. When I informed her that she was wrong and I showed her the picture of the correct price she wasn't happy. She clicked her tongue several times and started to breath heavy when she had to correct the price after I showed her the the register was wrong. Ask her another question and she chose to ignore me until I said to her "I'm talking to you ". Custom service like this is one reason people go to other stores that are more friendly and treat you with respect.

I bought a toilet for a remodel project & it was exactly what I was looking for. The price was better than I expected.

Elizabeth was extremely helpful and save me an enormous amount of time. She was smart and friendly and I greatly appreciated her help.

Always someone to ask for help.

Everyone is friendly. You can get in and out quickly . And the associates are helpful.

When I pulled into Home Depot, someone called to my attention that my car had a flat. I went to the checkout and asked the cashier where the nearest gas station was. The cashiers contacted another employee on the other side of the store who put air in my tire so I could take it and get it fixed. I was completely blown away by the kindness of the employees. The store essays busy and they took the minute to help me thus saving my day. The customer service is above and beyond.

Here in this homedepot there is everything that any builder or particular person wants to find, the only bad thing here is the staff is not friendly at all all the time they answer abruptly or they help you or anyone but with bad tastes ... Also the store is too dirty and the bathrooms do not say it is the worst that can be

This store in hempstead seems to be running better and is being kept clean or in addition my only complaint is that many of your employees are always on their personal cell phones and you have to get their attention if you need help

Store had what i needed but can’t same the same for the customer in-front of me . Store was neat. They need to reevaluate the employee in the paint department. His customer service was absolutely unprofessional and disappointing. Worst communication skills, no empathy, no care at all and just rude . The fact that he asked to come closer knowing that there is 6ft rule due to covid is unbelievable. The co-worker with him was much more friendly and more knowledgeable then him. The cashier was very nice .

The store was clean, customer service excellent, products in stock and fast checkout.

I wanna say Ms. Lakissy is amazing she has a beautiful customer service and is very fast at her job but makes you feel at home , Rob is so caring as well and takes his time to help you buy everything you need with patience of gold, and Mr Chris is amazing as well and has such a beautiful personality and bubbly and makes you laugh , and a great sales man , and then there is Christina she is so helpful and always smiling, this 4 employees need to be employees of the month every month and is a huge huge asset to the company, and I adore Lakissy and her personality so sweet kind and caring ,& helpful in every way , thank you for having them on board I look forward to always seeing them ,

This store has finally gotten better for items that I order online and pick up in store. I used to order items and get notifications that the item was ready. I would go to the store and no one could find the item but I could see that they were not really looking hard enough to find my item. Too often I would need to look for myself and I would find the item with my name clearly shown but they didn't seem interested or care if I had to come back or not. But lately, the experience has gotten better. It seems the employees are being trained better or they now care that they are there to provide customer service and to help us get in and get out quickly.

Great customer service

David was EXTREMELY HELPFUL! My mom and I were shopping for a Christmas tree around 5pm and there was no one working in the garden/tree area outside. David came from inside to cut the tree and wrap it up for us and even offered to take it to our car, which now we had to walk through the store since the outside gate was closed. David had GREAT CONVERSATION AND A GREAT PERSONALITY. He reminded me to cherish these moments with my mom and I thank him for that. He is truly an angel. There needs to be more Davids at this store! Simply put, he is GREAT!

I usually have poor experiences with cashiers at this location but Rachael was very pleasant and ensured I found the items I needed and completed my transaction in a timely manner.

Good store. Shop there all the time for house maintenance. Just keep restocking the items. Sometimes things you need are not on the shelves but on the pallets on the top. Takes long time to get it down. Other than that, no problem. Nice people working there.

Definitely a good place to purchase... poor service in Elmont!!! They a lot to learn with this staff here in Hempstead.

An all around disappointment

Lakissy is the best Home Depot employee I’ve ever encountered

One name: LAKISSY! It was late. We were tired. Our babysitter was staying extra late to watch our monitor so we could run out and get some Halloween decorations. We had gone to three other Home Depot’s looking for the inflatable 10’ Oogie Boogie after our online order was canceled due to low inventory. Lakissy and Carmelo saved the day!!! Even though the store was closing, they went above and beyond to get us inflatables that were on display and sold out in the stores. They were so helpful, kind and funny. They didn’t make us feel bad about helping us and even climbed onto the display to get us what we needed. So awesome. We can’t thank them enough!! They saved our Halloween!

Since 8/22/20 , I have had the pleasure to come across great representatives for Home Depot in Hempstead. The store was clean and I always found what I needed. Because of these associates, I will definitely continue to go back!! Dawn, Anthony, Andre, Dante, Zurieo are great , helpful, respectful, polite, professional representatives for HOME DEPOT IN HEMPSTEAD!!!

Ari at the register was so nice and took her time to measure out every piece of wood. Although she was being micromanaged, she did it anyway and as a customer I don't fault her for taking directions. Keep up the good work!
