Excellent employees, especially young man in the paint department and cashier.

Staff are approachable and willing to help with things I'm looking for.

I purchased a refrigerator and opted to have it delivered because i am very busy and didn't have time to get to a home depot to pick one up myself if i could avoid it. the refrigerator arrived on the day it was scheduled and was left on the front porch by the delivery service. when i arrived home, i brought the refrigerator in and unboxed it. i immediately noticed several areas of damage including dents on both sides, and a gouge in the metal ice box door in one corner exposing a jagged edge of metal. I called one of the numbers on the emailed delivery confirmation, but they couldn't find my order info with my phone number, name, order number, or address. They asked me to call another number, but when i called that number, it was to a hearing aid company. I called the regular customer service number on Home Depot's website, and was connected with someone named, Obu. Obu told me that If I didn't want to keep the refrigerator, I would have to take it back to Home Depot to get a refund, then order another to have it delivered. I explained to Obu that this was a HUGE inconvenience to someone that had paid extra for delivery so he wouldn't have to physically go to Home Depot and for damage that I wasn't responsible. At that point the phone went dead. I can't be sure if I was hung up on, or something else happened. In any case, the next day, I went to the Home Depot in Hickory, Store#3628 with the refrigerator. I requested to speak with a manager and was met by Store Manager Joe Munao. Mr Munao patiently listened to my experience up to that point, and expressed his concern at what I had dealt with leading up to arriving at his store. Mr Munao offered a solution in a slightly larger refrigerator that was in store and I could take with me that same day. I was refunded for my initial purchase, and paid for the new refrigerator at a very agreeable discounted price. Mr Munao and another employee helped me load the new refrigerator, and apologized on behalf of Home Depot for the negative experience I had received. I left a satisfied customer although I still believe Home Depot needs to do some work on their customer service call centers, and figure out a better way to safely deliver products to customers

I've never had a bad experience at the Hickory location. Staff has always been personal, helpful, kind and a working knowledge of the products they stock. Shelves are stocked, in order along with competitive pricing. Isles are clean & wide, check out is a breeze. Plenty of parking spaces & well lighted at night. Much more to choose from and better quality than other competitors. Home Depot is my first "Go-to" hardware & building supply center.

The store was organized and I was easily able to find what I needed.

I have purchased 2 major appliances this year. They both were researched and bought from Home Depot. You had the model numbers I was interested in and I found them on sale. I had assistance at the store and on line each time. The lady with the refrigerator was excellent, the gentleman was not real interested in helping me. Purchase on line was fast and efficient. Delivery on refrigerator was horrible. First delivery wasn't on the truck, second delivery was dented and broken, the third time was correct and the delivery gentlemen very helpful. I will receive my dryer at the end of Dec. so I can only pray it will go better!!! The store was clean, but it could stand a cleaning up and to be spiffed up. Lighting was low.

It's hard to get a 5 star out of me because there is always room for improvement. But our cashier Jan was very nice and Friendly. I recommend shopping the garden center.

The paint dept employee either didn't know what he was doing or was not honest when filling my order. I specifically requested oil based Behr deck paint and after a friend stained most of my deck, it was discovered that the stain was not oil based.

The service is always horrible. I totally understand there is never enough associates to service customers but I wouldn’t ask for help if I didn’t need it.

If your looking for service or help in this store they are way under staffed. when find employee they dont have any idea what there doing. I went there 3 times to place a 4000 order. and no one knew how to ring it up. and they have no knowledge about tile and granite >> there was no manager available. and the employees are not very helpful. SAD SAD SAD

Great store! Very satisfied with the selection, my purchase, and the Home Depot associates. This store is roughly 30 miles from me so I always call ahead and check stock before I make a large purchase and the associates always take fantastic care of me. Shop the Hickory Home Depot. You will not be disappointed.

Always clean and easy to shop, every time I visit the employees are extremely friendly and willing to help me find what I am looking for. I appreciate everyone wearing a mask and staying safe while providing excellent customer service. I can honestly say I have never been disappointed when I come to Hickory Home Depo!

We like this store, However, in these days of COVID19, my husband and I would have like to see "social distancing" and "face masks" enforced. It was not.

Employees and manager are rude. Clearance Item was priced on the shelf but rang up a different price. Employee was rude and acted like I was trying to get the item cheaper than reduced price.
