Your cashier PAMELA was VERY PLEASANT and HELPFULL with my questions.

The store employees are taking measures to keep the store sanitary during this Pandemic. I witnessed staff sanitizing the pro desk area and was very impressed at the detail. Sandra at the Pro Desk went above and beyond making sure I had everything needed for our new backyard fence. She physically made sure the fencing panels were in store for pick up in the morning even though the computer said they were available. She noticed one item was out of stock and was able to find me a compromise which worked out to my benefit. She was a pleasure to work with, very professional, knew what was needed and completed the order with accuracy. I'm very pleased, Thank you for hiring Sandra!

Last week I had a good experience shopping at Home Depot. I needed to purchase a fold down stairway for my attic. I found the right one and got a discount on an open package. This was important to me, I had researched online at competitors and home depot had the strongest (350lbs) and the cheapest price. To find one open with everything and get a discount was great.

Everyone good except for the person at the kitchen cabinet section name Brenda. She is rude and no customer skills.

Outside garden area (CHRIS) stayed with me thru-out my shopping, answering multiple questions for me. He even went on line to answer a question about a tree that I'm interested in getting for my yard. He even told me to wait for planting because we're supposed to get snow. Extremely knowledgeable about his area. Excellent service. Will DEFINITELY come back!

Pamela was very professional and knowledgeable. She took the time to answer all my questions and help me get in and out quickly.

I truly enjoy shopping at this Home Depot. A couple of weeks ago Caroline in customer service was kind enough to go the extra mile purging records to obtain a proof of purchase for my Samsung refrigerator. I needed repair for my icemaker purchased in 2017. Caroline obtained the information proving that I had purchased an extended warranty that allowed me to have my refrigerator repaired. She also provided the telephone number to call Samsung. I am happy to say that they installed a new icemaker. Thank you Caroline. You relieved stress and made my day! I am a 76 year old woman and I don't need added stress. Thank YOU! She is very special, efficient and professional.

We came in to purchase a washer and dryer. The associate that helped us was very nice and friendly. We set up a delivery for about 5 days out (sounded reasonable). I received an email a day before the delivery stating that we had changed the delivery date out another 9 days. I called to see what was going on with this and they stated that the manufacturer was backed up due to weather and we would have to wait.She also stated that it was shipping locally but she could not give me a location. When we were at the store we specifically asked if this model was in stock and were told it YES. Come to find out that meant at the manufacturer. I feel like we got the bait and switch on that one. Now we have gone an entire week without a washer and dryer just to find out it will be at least one more. I feel like if we would have known this information it may have changed what or where we bought. I am very disappointed with the whole situation. Now we have to scramble to find some other company to see if we can get this sooner. I will never buy another appliance from them again.

I shop here often and Employee named Danta is always working hard and consistently greets me when he sees me, offering assistance to load my truck if needed.

Clean with most of the products I needed.

I have been to this store several times , since recently moving to this area. Everyone has gone out of their way to assist me with questions, or finding items I needed.

I have been to a lot of Home Depots all over the country but this one really sticks out. The store was actually clean and organized, the staff was ACTUALLY willing to help. My cashier Pamela was the nicest person I have talked to around here, super happy and genuinely interested in a conversation. Closest thing to being in the midwest I have felt in a long time.

This is a big store, but the staff treats me like family and my service chihuahua baby.

After waiting and waiting to have a question answered I finally requested a manager. The manager was very helpful and took immediate and complete care of us. It was a Friday about 1pm and the store was not busy. Our question was about a door we wanted to purchase. We were not sure if it came with the hardware. (It didn't) The manager answered our question and took me to where I needed to be to purchase the hardware and then went and got the cart I needed. Can recommend that particular manager, but not the employees.

We are having new flooring installed. The first name we went to the store the guy that helped us didn't seem to really know what he was doing and messed our order up a little. Mistakes happen and I'm not complaining, just giving context. After our measurements were done someone called from HD measuring dept to finalize our order. This is when I discovered the product was wrong. The lady said she'd have to call back. A different lady called back and still had the wrong product. We went to the store that evening and worked with Fatima, who we learned is a 15 year employee. She was uh-may-zing! She had to call the measuring dept to get everything fixed before we could pay. She took her time, was incredibly detailed and although she was not responsible for the previous error, was very apologetic. We so appreciated her time and attention to detail to ensure our order was correctly completed. The next day I received a call from a different HD employee to tell me that my order had been pulled except for 3 pieces that they didn't have. (Fatima had already told us we could either pick this up at a different store location or wait for the pieces to come in the following week so this was not a surprise.) We went back to the store the following evening to pick up everything. Unfortunately, there was another piece missing in addition to the 3 pieces we were aware of already. We we're fortunate enough to work with Saharis at the service desk. Yet, another stellar employee! She called two different stores to track down all 4 pieces for us, had them pull the items to leave up front for us to easily pick up the next day and spent a pretty long time doing this. We thought that was our last interaction with her but no... Today, I received a phone call Saharis because she said she was thinking about us and wanted to make sure we were able to pick up our 4 pieces without issue. Anymore, good customer service in retail is hard to come by, in my opinion. These two employees should be heavily commended and the Newport News store should be very proud to employ good stewards of excellence like Fatima and Saharis!

Paint department employees were fast, kind, and knowledgeable.

The store was neat and clean. The employees were very helpful.

My daughter went to your store to return a RYOBI 20V Impact Wrench which the bought for my Christmas present which they bought by mu]istake, they wanted to gift me a 20V 1/2 Inch Drill ad picked the wrong item, the item was unopened and the Clerck opened and took everything out from the box, I told her that she should have requested to speak to the Manager, but she stated that she did not wanted to make a big deal of it but she felt very offended by the clerk's actions.

The store was well organized and my cashier Pamela was very helpful.

The only bad thing about this stores is the parking lot. It has a couple of bad pot holes that need to be repaired.

I experienced very poor customer service experience. The associates walks around doing nothing , and when you ask for help they act like you’re interrupting them from something .

Today my husband and I went to two other home improvement stores. It wasn't until we came to Home Depot and asked Nelson for help. He was amazing and answered all of our questions and helped put together a piece of pipe for a bathroom sink drain pipe. We will skip those other stores and just come straight to you guys next time.

THE ASSOCIATE NAMED "DONTE" WAS A VERY WELL-MANNERED, FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL YOUNG MAN. HE GREETED ME RESPECTFULLY AS I EXITED THE STORE, RETURNED MY CART FOR ME AND NEVER STOPPED SMILING. HIS SERVICE AND KINDNESS WAS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.

Mike and Donte helped me load a grill and their attitudes were awesome.

I'm a regular at this store. I visit at least a couple of mornings a week. The staff is friendly, and the store is well run. I recommend this store highly.

I’d say 4.5 because they could help us order in store and get our military discount, to get a washer dryer sent to our PCS location in Florida. .5 off because the 4 people helping us had a hard time, until ANNIE rescued us and got it all done!
