The store had everything I was looking for in stock. The items were easy to find. This particular day the line for checkout was long. Employees had a good system down to keep the line moving and everyone socially distanced. I normally go through the self checkout and keep to myself. This time a cashier, Dorothy S., called me into her line. She was welcoming, positive, personable, kept the conversation flowing, and just gave off that great energy we all need right now during these times. I felt human again after checking out and leaving the store, something I don't say too often these days.

Excellent customer service

Service was excellent!!! I had an issue with a delayed customer pickup. Nicole from customer service handled my problem She had to elicit the help of the Asst Manager. Both were very friendly and professional. My wait time was minimal compared to what it should have taken. The Asst manager also helped me load my large item onto a cart and also loaded it into my vehicle.

I would not recommend if you are doing a big project especially if you loose your receipt. Which happens all the time.

The associates were friendly and helpful, she stayed with me until I located my Item which was apart of the Black Friday sale. Now that was a blessing! Thanks Daphne.

Quality Control!!! New Item I bought was horribly used when I opened the box at home. It was a Rigid Reciprocating saw, you’d assume an item in a Lock Box would be new. NO ONE OFFERED TO REMEDY THE INCONVENIENCE OF GETTING A USED ITEM AND HAVING TO DRIVE AN HOUR ROUND TRIP FOR SOMETHING THAT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED.

3 trips to store and could not get anyone to help. 4th trip got lucky one guy knew what he was doing. Placed a large order for Bathroom [ tub, Walls, lumber, sub floor wood, and much much more.. poor guy who was finalizing the sale tried to complete the sale at least 5 times and computer kept giving him error,, it took 1 Hour and 32 minutes until the computer allowed to complete the sale.Store manager stood bye without a single word of apology and acted as this was not any of his concern ... Finally the order was finalized and then came the delivery disaster ... They silvered obviously damaged merchandise as if customer is an idiot ,, the rest of the delivery has been scattered and no one knows where they are or will be delivered. I will NOT Shop at Home depot ever again. I made a terrible mistaking spending my money in the store.

This store does not require, encourage, or enforce public health orders concerning facemasks and social distancing. I would recommend anyone concerned with their safety related to COVID-19 to avoid this store and go to other stores which do.

Sarah, an store supervisor waited on my for an exchange. She was very helpful, easy to communicate with and very friendly.

Fantastic customer service in lumber department. Every time I go. This is my favorite Home Depot store.

During this time of Covid-19 and social distancing, I have used the shop on line and pick up in store option. THIS store has it down! That means the order was right, the employees were quick and kept their distance. A visit to a store not far from this one was not as successful. The employees there seemed 'lost' and unsure of themselves. I will come back to the NOVI store if I must.

Visited the Novi location today to make a purchase. This was the best experience that I have had compared to any other locations that I have visited. Mike C. and Spencer were extremely helpful and a delight to be around.

The Novi Home Depot that calls themselves "Your local hardware" on their website. If that were true they would have helped a good customer last night. I went into the store to rent a drum sander for the evening. I planned to take the sander across town to a property I had contractors working at. Unfortunately I left my current drivers license at home. It was already late in the evening and contractors waiting on me for direction. There was no time for me to go home and get my current license. I did have my two previous drivers licenses in my wallet. I have been a resident of the area for over 20 years. They refused to rent the sander to me because I did not have my current license. I had a wallet full of credit cards (home depot included) as well as a pro xtra account. I have spent over 50K at home depot this last year on my account and my contractor's accounts. I politely told the manager all this. The tool counter guy said he could rent it to me if I could get my husband to find my ID and text me a picture. But, he then changed his mind when a line started to form in the Tool rental area. I guess it was now an inconvenience for him. I think it's bad business to send a good customer away because of a rule that doesn't make sense. It was critical for me to get the tool and get on my way. Time is money as they say. They knew it was me, my drivers license number is the same, even the police have been ok with taking my expired license when pulled over. If they were REALLY "Your local hardware", if they REALLY cared about their business customers they would have rented the tool to me and kept a good customer happy. Instead they brushed me off, like I didn't matter. I'm sure the manager could have allowed it and if he really couldn't ... then shame on Home Depot as a company. I will avoid Home Depot and advise my real estate clients to go elsewhere.

This store is a model nationwide to other locations on how awesome employees are. Helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. 5 stars aren't enough stars. Thank you Novi staff. You are the best!!

Went in to buy a single piece for my kitchen sink soap dispenser & was approached by a very friendly employee named Spencer who asked if i needed help. He went above and beyond to look up the item i needed & not only did he locate it but he took me to it, as well as double checking with another employee if i actually had to purchase the entire set up or if just the single piece i needed was available to purchase. Very friendly employee who should be recognized for his professionalism because it was apparent that he conducts himself in this manner daily while dealing with all his customers.

The Two Asssociates in the Plumbing Department were helpful and Rachael the Cashier "Thanked Me for My Military Service" and cheerfully accepted my H.D. Gift Cards and Thanked me For Coming In Today.
