I was told the wrong information about the mulch for sale over the weekend, 5 for $10. I could not fit all in one trip. The Hispanic man said come back tomorrow. I came back and was told sale was over and now $4 a bag. I explained I was misinformed and the manager, also hispanic said the sale ends tomorrow, then corrected herself to say it ends today and then said no no sorry sale ended yesterday. She obviously had a language barrier too. She did not want to honor the price for me. I have bad back and took a lot of energy to load and get to register. I couldn't finish my project and am very upset. I relied on false information. Granted not intentional but it was a huge inconvenience and disappointment that could have been easily fixed or prevented. I have a whole house to fix up to get ready sale and not sure if will be back.

The store has what I need, but I stood at the painting area and there was only 1 other customer there that was being help, whereas there were about 4 employees who walked by me without even saying hello or that somebody will be with me. I can't speak as to how friendly the employees are, but I can tell you they avoid helping you.

Bryce and Jiahua were so helpful and awesome! Jiahua helped me with my checkout and Bryce helped me with my online order pickup, as well as loading large bags of soil and peat moss into my car. Fantastic customer service. Love this San Carlos store. Wide selection and so clean!!

The staff here are different than at the other locations (and NOT in a good way). East Palo Alto's staff is way more professional and helpful.

Today's experience renewed my belief that even though things sometimes go quite badly at HD, there are employees there who care and go the extra mile to help.

outdoor registers not open during pandemic neither do doors stay open. Store makes 0 efforts to increase air circulation. shelves are often empty and items often out of stock. Good selection , good construction area, mostly friendly and knowledgeable employees.

Great customer service with large inventory and product options.

Che’Kayla provided excellent customer service. She went out of her way to assist me with my shopping. She also had a very pleasant attitude, helping an elderly person. Even knowledgeable about product on the store.

Angelica has a very bad attitude problem and was rude to me and other customers. When I commented to her fellow employees they all made the comment about Angelica and her attitude. Noting to me that Angelica is probably the rudest person in the store and had multiple complaints already.

I think I covered everything in my previous survey response, adding only that, while this store is not closest to me, it is clearly larger and well staffed, even at 6:30 AM. In the future, I will make a point of shopping at this store if I am in the neighborhood, if I needs something...and I ALWAYS need something!

Feeling ripped off. They stuck me with a $200 cancellation fee, even though I had called ahead and asked about cancellation policy. At that time they just told me that I can cancel the order - no problem. But didn't mention the big problem for me - the $200 cancellation fee.

The customer service department are superheroes. They are so friendly, take extra precautions in between customers to clean and never slow down. If they do not know an answer they will research for you or find an expert but always answer your questions. Watching them answer phones, get your order and then figuring out best option for me has restored my faith in customer service, something I thought had long died. Customer Service at San Carlos is world class and they should teach a class.

San Carlos is the hardest working Home Depot around. The customer service department from afar looks as though they are running a battle ship, they are working non stop and so hard. Associates go above and beyond to take care of you even when they are confronted with a rude customer. They clean after every guest, always wear their mask. The customer service department has the highest level of care and should be commended on their outstanding work. I know they do not make much but they do their job with the same importance of a surgeon. They all deserve a raise for working non stop during COVID. I feel for them, it seems Home Depot is the only place to go and they are constantly dealing with an uptick in customers. I know several fellow customers that say they go out of their way to go to San Carlos store because of how great they are. A+ all around.

The Item return and online order pickup line goes out of the door and onto the roadway. Customers, beware that you might be hit by drivers in the parking lot. I was hit by a driver because the return line went onto the roadway instead of having the line form in a safer place. Luckily I was not seriously injured, just very scary. Lines are always extremely long. I went to go pickup an online order item and thought it would be faster than going into the store to purchase the item. Instead, I had to wait 30min in line to get to the service desk and like I said, I was hit by a vehicle while standing in line. A Home Depot employee saw this happen and just asked if I was ok. There was an employee at the door who I asked where the online order pick up was and he pointed me to the back of the returns line which was formed on the parking lot roadway. This employee should have seen this as a high risk hazard for customers but failed to do so. I would not be surprised if the line is still being formed onto the roadway.

Glad they had a breaker in stock. Other HDs in the area were sold out...

we cut 2 7foot pieces of chain for a project and took a pic of the label for the cashier. "A Dave approaches us and Very Rudely tells us "That is NOT self service!" and takes the chain from me. My wife and I say we have two 7' pieces of this and showed him the pic. He then proceeds to tell us we could take a pic of anything! We then pointed out the reel where we got it. Been shopping at this store for over 3 decades and never questioned on the count of the items, and I have never cheated HD ever on a count of items, but this clown had me so angry, that will probably be it for shopping there. If HD thinks bringing in older out of work white males with attitude problems is a good plan, stand by. Generally, the staff are great, but the cross bar seems to have been lowered.

I asked if healthcare workers can enter by showing their badge was told yes I go to the door showing my badge he immediately yanked it out of my hand in my face not standing 6ft at all and had my badge had the audacity to say you're not a frontline worker I answered I work where patients get tested for COVID19. I asked for his name and it is Ranger when I got the name he started screaming at me and saying I know what this is about call the 800# and there were employees and customers just staring at me. I felt harassed action needs to be taken this. I will be making sure that people know about this and make sure they do not attend the store at all.

I was really impress by efficency of store employees , i did a purchase online and i had a curbside pickup. It was really quick and easy , all employees were really great from the person that received my data and the one that bring all my products to the car . I'll definitely recommend this store and I'll keep it as my first choice for small or big home projects.

Friendly staff and for garden needs this store has been our go to because we live close. For lumber do not go here. Products are shelved in the wrong place throughout the lumber dept. In stock quantities are not accurate. In store service in lumber was not existent in my last few trips here.

Awful garden cashier and customer service cashier and including the manager on duty in the customer service department. Please re train for basic common courtesy and respect.

I would appreciate it if there was more check outs available instead a very few along with self checkout. It would definitely increase the overall experience.

One of the worst home depots that I have used and I will now be driving the extra 18 miles to Lowes in Sunnyvale. Shelves are messy and disorganized so you will spend way too long searching only to discover they are out of stock which online shows in stock. Home Depot changed their check out a few years ago to cut staff and it shows the worst at this store. The only redeeming quality is the few staff that work here. If you can actually find someone to help or eventually force yourself to a cashier they have all been very helpful. Though again, it will probably be quicker to drive a couple times down and go to lowes.
