Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting plastic plant pots, CFLs, lead acid batteries, and rechargeable batteries for recycling.
Home Depot stores sent approximately 5.3 million pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This helped the planet by preserving over 63,500 trees, keeping over 16,000 trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saving over 50 million gallons of water, and conserving 7.8 million kilowatt hours of electricity.
LED lights in your local store reduced energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives like wind and solar.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our associates and customers. This commitment extends beyond our stores to our communities and the environment. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Learn more about our commitment to economic responsibility.

Are appliances on sale for Spring Deals?
Another big spring sale is here, so prepare to save money. Whether you're doing spring cleaning and repairs with the latest tools or remodeling and adding new appliances, we've got what you need. Remember to check out our outdoor power equipment and lawn and garden bargains, too. Get great Spring Deals from April 24th through May 7th and enjoy your new products year-round.
Do you carry moving boxes?
Make your move easier by picking up an assortment of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you need, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion your items with moving blankets and bubble cushion to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Remember to check out our rental moving trucks if you need those, too.
Is it good to have a generator at home?
We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They adjust to whatever power load is requested. This means they'll make less noise while they create less power. When considering different generators for sale, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows.
Should I do siding repairs now?
Ready your home for spring temperatures swings and storms by replacing any faulty or broken parts of your home and hardscaping. If water freezes in any crevices, you could be in for a real headache. On the outside of your home, examine roofing shingles or metal roofing panels for damage or rust that could let water leak in. Clean gutters to prevent ice dams if you're still prone to ice storms and snow. Check cinder blocks and brickwork for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. Lastly, swap vinyl siding and chimney caps if they're damaged.
What are the benefits of doorbell cameras?
Enjoy privacy, safety, and peace of mind with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through the peephole or a nearby window when you can watch animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, which is useful for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Most cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as needed and worry less with more control.
