Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, and CFLs for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used in composite decking materials, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
LED lights in your local store cut energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives such as wind and solar.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our associates and customers, and this commitment extends beyond our stores to the environment, as well as our communities. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Read more about our eco actions.

Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it there safely. Don't forget to check out our rental moving trucks if you need those, too.
Is it good to have a generator at home?
Having a generator means you're prepared for any circumstances life throws at you. Whether dealing with snowstorms, thunderstorms, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements take it out. When searching generators for sale, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.
Should I do siding repairs now?
Make sure your home is ready for spring temperature swings by repairing or replacing broken parts of your home and hardscaping. If water freezes in the crevices, you could have problems. On the outside of your home, examine metal roofing panels or roofing shingles for rust or damage that could let water leak in. Clean gutters to prevent ice dams if you're prone to frozen precip as the seasons change. Check bricks and cinder block for cracks. Indoors, verify ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be swapped if they're damaged.
What are the benefits of doorbell cameras?
Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through an adjacent window or peephole when you can watch animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, which is useful for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Several cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed and worry less with more control.
