WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE
This store has the worst customer service. I have had 2 recent experiences where I departed this Home Depot after 30-40 minutes without anyone available to provide assistance and this would be after asking different employees for help.

Great Customer Service!!
The overall experience of shopping at Home Depot is one that I look forward to. The rest of my day can be full of stress, but going to the store is a stress reliever. The store is neat, clean and organized. The staff is always pleasant and knowledgeable. I definitely leave the store in a better more than when I went in. Keep up the good work!!

Umbrella serice during rain storm
During the recent rain storm employees and managers offered "umbrella service" to customers. Very nice touch. Though I respectfully declined (and got wet), others were accepting the service. The employees with big umbrellas were enthusistically accompanying customers in the parking lot to and from the store/vehicles.

    Could this store be any more badly managed? Never say never but I don't see how it's possible.
    Lumber carts for loading lumber - which are normally located in the lumber department, were not there. After walking all the way back to the last isle in the store to get a piece of plywood, I discovered there were no carts where they are usually kept. So, walked all the way back out of the store and then had to walk half way across the parking lot to find a lumber cart, then all the way back to the back of the store again. A royal pain if you are 60, disabled, and it's 101 degrees outside. The manager of this store needs to figure out what his job is and do it. He needs to stop "reaching out," formulating strategies with his other managers," cut back on associates available to help, and demonstrate some leadership, responsibility, and authority. Anyway, after putting my plywood in the cart I go to get it cut in half. I can not find an associate. Finally I find one and again he is the only associate in the entire building materials & lumber departments. Unfortunately, BOT of the saws used to cut lumber are out of order. I ask how long it's going to take before they are working again? Weeks, was the answer. UNSAT! The associate cut the plywood for me by hand in a maximum effort to be helpful. He shouldn't have to be forced to fill the voids caused by management that DOES NOT SUPPORT - EITHER THE CUSTOMER OR HIS STAFF. Hey new manager, it's time to get off your rear, get on the phone, get someone out there to fix the saws in 48 hours and start demonstrating some respect, concern, and service for your customers. After the prior manager left 4 months ago was happy because I figured the Carmel Mt Home Depot couldn't get any worse and new management might actually bring it up to the minimum acceptable standards wrt inventory availability, associate availability, and service. I was wrong - it's worse than ever. I'm not sure how that is even possible, but it's true. Unbelievable!

    Found exactly what I needed
    Prior to shopping, I checked the website for product availability at the stores. It saves me a trip to go from store to to store since I'm on a bit of a time crunch. This store is well stocked, clean and the assistants were available and helpful. Since it's close to my workplace, I can always head over if I needed anything especially in the Garden Center.

      Carmet Mt. Home Depot continues to be the worst in SOCAL
      Product availability and out of stock items are so bad that in the past 2 years I have not once walked into this store and walked out with everything I needed. Sometimes because regular items are not being carried anymore, but mostly because they are out of stock on their regular items. Talking to corporate - no improvement; talking to the store managers - no improvement; writing reviews - no improvement; taking "the survey" - no improvement. This store demonstrates the epitome of the careless, unprofessional, apathetic and grossly badly managed Home Depot.

      Need more available associates
      The key master/copier and service were great but I couldn't find help in the blinds and flooring dept. Wait time was too long (over 20 minutes).

        Great Checking Out Experience
        Coming into the store was easy, found my product with ease and then the treacherous lines appeared. A friendly outgoing young gentleman, Craig Iams approached me and said there was no waiting in his line. So I tried self checkout. Craig was very courteous and assisted me using my gift card. It was a seamless process. It was nice to see the willingness of your assoicate Craig. I would rather keep coming to the Carmel Mountain Store than Poway. Craig is a great assest to the Home Deport team.

        Cashier at the self service checkout
        There were no other customers at the self service checkout. The cashier monitor came over, greeted me, and scanned my items.... He treated me like a king. His name is MILAN GIBA.

        My favorite Home Depot so far
        Sure it's close to home, but I have been into a few home depots around my country - this one has the friendliest staff, is the most welcoming and is suited for a family oriented neighborhood like mine. I go there regularly for whatever home improvement items I need. From electrical to garden and landscaping and onto cleaning materials - it's all there, very reasonably priced. LOVE MY HOME DEPOT!

        Great customer service!
        The sales associates that I have dealt with at this store have always been very helpful. In customer service when I needed to exchange a product and also return I was met with friendliness, efficiency and timeliness. One day I was looking for an item and a sales associate was off the clock, saw me looking for something, asked if he could help and directed me right to the specific item. Also, on recent visits, two separate associates used their smart phones to direct me to the app that helps customers. They are a great group!

          Excellent Service!!!
          I have been shopping at the Carmel Mountain Store for 23 years. The staff has always been helpful and friendly. Pamala at the Pro Desk helped me out today with a lighting issue and resolved it to my satisfaction. She was very personable and took extra time to listen to and answer my questions.

            Wonderful help from Home Depot Associates
            The product that I was looking for was in a limited amount on the shelf. The associate saw me pondering and asked if I needed help. I told her my problem and she said that the item was stored above on the racks. She went immediately to the rolling stairs and hauled down exactly what I needed. She made my visit very enjoyable. It was so nice to be in and out of the store quickly.

                Need to get some experienced people working in your store.
                I purchased drip irrigation parts including a timer. The only info I could get from the associates I had to drag out of them. They had to go ask someone else because they weren't very knowledgable. They failed to ask if I had batteries for the timer... I had a hard time getting anyone over to talk to me and when I did it was pretty much a waste of time. They were friendly but didn't know any more than I did and this is my 1st time for doing drip irrigation.

                Great store but needs more staff.
                My favorite DIY place to go to but its difficult to find an associate for assistance as compared to our local ACE store. Home Depot is the far better store regarding stock and prices but needs more associates over weekends and Holidays .

                Cant find stuff and too many part time employees
                You essentially have to have a helper to find anything. But that is ok, except they are hard to find and unknowledgeable. The cashier was the best but they need him in the field. The tired bored ones should be at the cashier.

                No stress in appliances!
                The associate helped complete a transaction of nearly $5000 which included calls to a client in Texas. He also personally helped in selection of multiple products.
