I bout a microwave from Home Depot and Bob Lee a gentleman that works there was very helpful and can help you with all your purchases

Ray was a great help deciding on which gravel would be best for our project and Brandon was very kind and helpful at loading the 2 large bags of gravel onto our truck.

Agents in the garden section ( Suzan, Junior,Oscar ,Jose and Daniel ) were very friendly ,supportive and cooperative

I had to pickup a couple of things for some home repairs like many of us do. Susan was my cashier this particular day and she was very pleasant and helpful. It's nice to see people that enjoy their job of helping others. In short, hire more customer facing people like Susan.

I loved the way they greet you when coming in the store. Everything in the store is organized. Customer service and self service are the top quality state of the art service. Thank you.

The employees are always reday to find and retrieve items

We had special order we needed to set up for will call. There was a manager approval needed to complete. It took 30 minutes for a manager to respond and when they did, they did not acknowledge us or even look at us. They then went on to berate the cashier saying this was through Home Depot. com and we should have ordered there not at the store. She then complained loudly and multiple times that the store was going to have to eat the discount. The cashiers were great, which is the only reason for 3 stores, we are averaging the unbelievable treatment from the manager. This was the first issue we have ever had with a Home Depot employee, we have had nothing but good experiences there, but this one took the cake....

We are remodeling a room, so we needed painting supplies. It was a bit stressful, but cashier Rona was very friendly and calming. Great employee and great person!

Went into the store only to buy a small fire pit for the night for unexpected company arriving an hour before. He helped pick out a much bigger and better one that was on sale and worth the extra dollars. We ended up getting the fire pit he suggested. Came home and had such a lovely evening with friends. They even complemented on such a nice fire pit we had. Totally set the mood for the night. Thanks Gabe !

I am in this Home Depot almost daily. Or should say, i close this store nightly. Wish it was larger. I own and maintain 9 rental housing locations between El Cajon and Ocotillo. After working all day installing yesterday's purchases, I've created a completely new list. So on my way home I stop for tomorrow's parts. Arriving generally about 9pm an hour before close I scramble to fill my cart with assorted treasures described on my shopping list. If it wasn't for the friendliness of the staff in this location I never would be able to keep my $800 daily avg. With the constant rearranging of this now goes there and that to here shuffling I'd be OK. But NOOO. Corporate says that this needs to be by that now. Next week it wil need to be by those. Thank Homer above, the regular staff are generally up to speed. Sometimes they almost whiplash with the mental look left look right that the head naturally follows before, "yeah, follow me" i rarely fail to be escorted. Of course Homer's wife is reminding the shoppers (me) the store is closing in 5 minutes and reopen for your shopping pleasure at the Crack of yawn I've had employees take one full cart to the register while I'm filling cart 2 still. Generally a lumber cart. Pretty much greated by name and a see you tomorrow salutation heading out the door. A large number of employees will recognize me from this extremely accurate daily ritual. Cashier and associate very informative and clear about product in store and attentive

Kudos to Home Depot El Cajon - they hire developmentally challenged people who often turn into some of the most helpful people they could have - had a gentleman who met me at the front, knew where the bricks were that I needed, loaded them onto the cart, walked with me to checkout and loaded them into my vehicle - could not ask for better service

Ordered two gallons of stain/sealer online, was promised delivery that not only never happened once, but never happened twice--with no notice. Got a lot of finger pointing as to whose fault it was, but ended up having to go to the physical store to obtain the items.

Worked with a young man named Matt to select our washer and dryer. Very knowledgeable with w the different manufacturers and answered my zillion questions (from research l had done prior) confidently and professionally. Ask for Matt. He has literally studied up on all the products to be a great source of help in your decision making. Definitely ask for Matt.

I always shop at Home Depot first. I like the stores and they usually give good service.

Went to Home Depot and had three items on my list. Only wanted these items. Asked a worker they told me specifically where these items were and I was out in very little time. That gave me more time for my project!!!

I don't know what obvious changes have happened at this store in the past couple of months, but the level of customer service has really gone down to the point of that some associates are downright hostile and unhelpful. Very disappointing as this HD location in El Cajon used to be my favorite Home Depot store. The Santee location has always been excellent, but a little far for me.

Nancy, cashier in the Garden Center is one of the kindest, caring people you'll encounter, anywhere. Mgr Gerald responds rapidly to customer requests and is almost (lol) as nice as Nancy. Great store, Nancy will make you feel as if she's known you forever.

Late last night, my water heater began leaking a steady stream of water out of the bottom. Panicking that stores would be closed at 8:50 pm, I had my wife call Home Depot to verify in-store availability and hours. I was amazed and relieved that my LP fuel model was in stock. With the current water heater draining with a hose, gas shut off, water shut off, we rushed to Home Depot, made the purchase, and purchased the 5-year extended warranty as suggested by a very friendly sales associate Nour. I knew I had one year left on the warranty but couldn't call Rheem for approval last night. Today, I got approval from Rheem and went to Home Depot to return the failed one under warranty. I was a little disappointed to learn that I would receive a store credit ($810.79) on a gift card, but I understood and was grateful it wasn't prorated. Then out of nowhere (perhaps earshot), an associate named Nabeel walked over to Curtis and explained that Curtis could return the purchase last night and re-ring the purchase using the gift card and having me pay the difference of the new item. As Curtis discovered, the difference was around $150 more, so he graciously credited me $50 to help out. My wife and I were already down with our late-night emergency and significant expense, and then our expectations were continuously exceeded. Nabeel heartfully thought about my best interest as a customer, and I thanked him. I've been in administration for several years and respectfully suggest that Home Depot consider promoting Nabeel to management. He is a retail "hero" and would be a great asset to any company. Efforts like this earn and retain lifetime relationships. I think his critical thinking and empathy inspired Curtis, and my journey began with Nour late last night. I honestly never had this great of an experience with Home Depot or other retail stores and wanted to elevate this outstanding experience. Thank you, El Cajon Home Depot team!

store fairly clean..a few areas have available sales associates, other areas lacking help or knowledgeable sales people. some parts bins have mixed merchandise... best example fastener department (both individual and packaged) but this is prevalent thought many departments I go thru.. bottom line, you need more staff. and more knowledgeable staff. can't find them?...then raise wages to attract better people to fill those slots.

This Home Depot on Magnolia Avenue is Great and Fantastic

I just received excellent customer service from Lucille, Lucille and Renee! They helped me with everything I needed to order, the amounts necessary, the delivery , all of it. Everything I needed was in stock. Great experience today.

I like this store because it has everything I need and has professional and friendly service, I want to praise Jennifer, the sale cashier for always going above and beyond to provide assistance and help to all the customers, thank you!

Never enough help. Check out is ridiculous. Today before noon on a weekday the line stretched the entire width of the store. That just idiocy. Not worth waiting for a few things......

The customer service and friendliness by your Manager Gerald was awesome. He made sure I didn’t have to drive around looking for fridge and gave me a discount on a fridge that fit my needs. Thank you Gerald for your help!
